We need to expand this forum so I figured this would be a good way to do that so here goes!

Mine was the adaptation of carol of the bells by the trans-siberian orchestra. I cant play the uber fast lick at the end but the rest of it makes me sound pretty badass. How about you guys?

I dont learn full songs often, I try to write full songs instead. I did learn a good amount of Mea Culpa by The Human Abstract though...it's not easy at all, very fun to play. I would KILL to be able to play the insane sweep arpeggios at the end...i'll be there one day.

You have no idea how incredibly happy I am to see another THA fan. They are my favorite act out right now. Metal is on its way back! Cant wait for another offering from them and Protest the Hero.

iwantans13 goes up 1000 points in my book. You all could learn from him. And me.

I learned almost all of Polaris yesterday and today. Thats a real fun song to play too. So now thats my newest song.

Most of THAs stuff is too advanced for me right now, but they are definitely great. I just learned The Depravity Waltz by it dies today, not hard but fun with a drummer.

He he....Highway to Hell. Such an easy song for a guy like me that is just a hobbist of guitar playing.

Three chords, super simple. Gotta love Malcom and Angus.

LOL...love the name of the song. That kind of stuff is way out of my league though. I can just do basic power chords and some regular chords. I'm a drummer anyway....he he.

Yup, got the new CD when it came out. I dont like it nearly as much as the first CD though. I don't think they will ever be able to surpass that. They just did everything perfectly the first time around.

my brother gave me his old ibanez 4-string bass last xmas and even though this is my 3rd instrument (4th if you count turntables), most of Tool's discography makes me feel as you describe here.

right now i can handle most of the Nine Inch Nails stuff i try, but trent does tend to write simple basslines.

off-topic: C33LaurelRacer, your car is hot and i want it. UPS it to WA plz. :P
