Ok so getting knock sensor 1 fault figured since I had to take the manifold off I'd just do both sensors swap em both reassemble all is good ...... For about 5 miles the car starts shaking which I assume was misfiring and low and behold the same code comes up so I check the wire to make sure there is no short to ground looked fine checked plug that goes from sensor to ignition coils all connectors on plug looked good now stuck and my car is not happy! Any suggestions? :gotme

The knock sensors shouldn't cause misfiring, even if they're completely dead or their wires are disconnected. All they do is help the engine computer advance or retard the ignition timing. So, your misfire could be caused by something else.

Did you reset the original trouble code after you reinstalled the manifold? If not, it can take a while for the code to clear.

Yea it was reset when the battery was disconnected when the car was being worked on the knock sensor is supposed to relay to the ignition coil that tells the computer when to spark for combustion the issue I'm having is when I'm idling or slowing to a stop my rpm drops way down and bounces from 200 up to 2000 rpms or will completely stall out also I was about 50 mph and the car started shaking which from what I've read on knock sensors is caused by spark to gas while piston is down

Or a vacuum leak.

Sounds like you forgot one of the vacuum hoses underneath there...

How are your breaks? . Better yet go pop your hood unplug your iacv and turn your idle down as low as it can go without stalling. If you couldn't hear a vacuum leak before you should definitely hear it now! If there is one.

No, all the knock sensors do is listen for engine knocking sounds. If they stop working, the engine computer just retards the timing a little bit. With the timing retarded, the engine is a little sluggish, but it doesn't misfire.

ok finally got knock sensor fault fixed misfire was caused by shorting ignition coil. that was fun after I changed all the plugs and had a short had to test coils one at a time by hooking to a spark plug and looking at them to make sure they fired but now....... the tcs off and slip are lit up solid this happened after swapping 2 coils around I don't know how nothing other then coil 2 and 7 were swapped I checked all plugs to make sure they were connected does anyone know where the plug is that feeds the tcs im so tired of taking the top and side cover off of my motor

So let me get this staright, you replaced the plugs first and didn't look at them?
You can tell alot about what is going on inside the engine just by looking at the spark plugs.
