Okay, Well first off the idle. Its very sporadic. Sometimes it will idle fine, sometimes it dies and sometimes it will vary violently between 500-1500.I have an safc-II. Should i mess with the dec air settings? And if so what should i change it to?

Next:between 2500-4000rpms (i havnt teken it above 4k for break in purposes)it sputters. The AFL (air fule ratio right?) is well beyond 15% at 2500 and as high as 27% in 4k rpms.

Well on a lighter note, im very happy that i am able to drive my car after 6 months of work. Thanks for the help,~Sam

are u wenting u blow off valve to atmosphere? if so thats your problem with idle.

about your sputtering. fro your air flow readings. what maf are you running? stock? if so that 27% seems about right. what injectors are you running?

the sputtering is usually when the car is running pig rich or too lean and its breaking up top.

get a wideband. those air flow %'s arent air/fuel %'s. it tell you the air flow the maf is seeing. but they can change greatly depending on some safc settings.

an open bov would only mess with the idle if its leaking.

get a wideband then start messing with the safc and dec.air setting which can change your idle quite a bit.

Structer know you are correct. And when i get the motor broken in it will see a wide band and a dyno. Righ now i am jus trying to put miles on it. I have a feeling that a good tune is all it needs.

But is there anything i can do with the safc to alleviate my sputtering problem untill i make it to a tune? What AFL numbers should i stay away from. Cruising it is between 5% and 10% In the higher rpms it is more around 20-27%. Thanks again, I know you are getting sick of my posts, ur reply is always "get a wideband" Thanks for all the help,~Sam
