Just installed in my 2000 QX4 last night. Drove around today and it seemed to have more go, but that could be because it's a new mod and I want it to seem like it has more power. I"ll let you know once I run some gas through to see if there is a MPG change. At this point I don't see a reason not to do it.

Okay...it's been a month and a few days. Any noticable difference?

I have no complaints and have noticed some better performance, especially at higher RPMs. However, if you are expecting it to turn into a race car, you will be disapointed. That's not going to happen.

I'm still happy with it.

FYI - Apparently they can be rough on the MAF sensor, particaluarly after cleaning and oil application - if over oiled, it collects on the sensor and ruins it. I'm told Nissan MAF sensors don't clean well and usually just need replaced if they get too dirty. Someone else may be able to confirm or deny this.

Have been running one for years on my Pathfinder. Definitely feel some performance, especially with Magnaflow catback. Didnt notice any improvement on MPG. No probs with MAF yet... I am looking for an intake pipe that I could use with the "pop charger".

i like mine. The "velocity stack" under the filter is a nice piece of fabrication. i cut a hole in the bumper and made some ducting go straight to the filter. power gains negligible but i did notice a better throttle response.

pathy,

here is link for Jim Wolf Technology: $159

http://www.jimwolftechnology.c...D=364

$110http://www.trademotion.com/par...ow=16

I think Courtesy Parts sells them as well but I didnt see the filter for R50 Pathfinders on their website.

I thought I had seen it on special awhile back for $99 but the website escapes me.

I have the original version which was a red filter, the new ones are blue.

what are the advantages of this? is this just a new pipe leading to the air intake/different air filter?

Yep, looks better, sounds better, feels like there is a difference. The 3.3V6 is turtle fast so any upgrade feels like a increase in HP. I wanted to get the Weapon R intake but read reviews & feedback that it didnt fit very well. Contacted Spectre and they provided the info to make one. The sound with the JWT Pop Charger, new intake, and Magnaflow exhaust sounds pretty throaty too. I could probably run 12's now (from 0-60 that is......)

That intake will have more cons than pros. It lets in more crap to the engine, dirtys up the throttle body, costs $200, and sometimes screws with your maf sensor. Pros: gives you a LITTLE more a** in 4 low, and looks good.

Fisher: At least there are a few cons!!! Heh Heh

Remember also, cleaning the throttle body is really easy and really cheap...

Replacing the MAF is REALLY EXPENSIVE.

No matter what, dont expect the 3.3 V6 to be fast & furious with catback & intake/filter. It does sound good though.

Why not just use a dry filter?
