Saw the Italian Job tonight. Overall it was a pretty good movie. Good acting and plenty of action. I probably could have done without the shameless Mini Cooper plug in the movie. Here is my in-depth analysis:

Highs: Charliez TheronLows: Mini Cooper

Charlize Theron in a Mini Cooper? Intriguing.

<~~~~Notice little Mini blinking its lights at you.........

Dont start on the Minis. This movie is a remake of the 1969 movie of the same name. It involved 3 Mini Coopers rigging to carry bars of gold. The Minis were used due to small size and best handling of the time. Do some research on the old Mini Coopers, you'll find that they are great handling cars stock.

BTW...if anyone can find the 1969 The Italian Job on VHS or DVD for use in USA coded players let me know.....i will buy it

I love mini's and the movie was very entertaining. If I could take my 240sx down a flight of steps, and not totally destroy it, then i might not be as impresed with a mini but to my knowlege i can not. The new Mini s is so damn cool. Not to mention the fact that the new ones are built by bmw. :batman

It was a decent movie, not very deep of course, but entertaining.

I actually was expecting them to be a little more stunt-daring with the Mini's. But I guess maybe I've seen Ronin too many times...

the mini's that went down the flight of stairs into the subway were only mini shells.... since they do not allow any gas powered vehical underground... they had to change those to an electric mini... interesting huh!!?!?!?

I remember hearing something about the S8 being in the movie 4 months before it was released to the public.

All i know is that when i saw it in the movie I almost crapped my pants :)

I saw the original movie and for the time there was some kick-*** driving in it. If this new version is at least as good as the original I will watch it. I have only seen ltle snippets of it though. I could have sworn I saw Jason Statham in it, yes/no?

I just saw the movie tonight (awesome by the way) and wanted to let you know that Jason Statham IS in the movie (and is a badass by the way, as usual). I definitely recommend the movie.

A little off topic, but here goes:

Did anybody notice in The Transporter that Statham's character's car was referred to as both a BMW 735, and 765??
