the insperation to my future vh45de s13 coupe

the whole idea for this swap came on to me by total mistake. i was going to go to the vq35de fourm and clicked on the vh45de fourm by accident. ii was going to go back but something told me to stay and look in the fourm because i have never heard of this motor, and then i saw a post about this motor in a s14 and was very interested in the swap and i knew there had to be a s13 with this motor. and when i found one i was hooked!!!! i'm not into v8's but this is the only one that i have intrest in. just the sound and the tourqe that this motor makes makes me put a smile to my face!!. i had so many diffrent types of motor swaps in my head from vg30de's to 13b-rew's, all some great motors but this motor takes the cake!! its cheap reliable and a rare swap. and i know i will be the only guy in south jersey with a vh s-chassis.

i plan to get the motor and z32 n/a trans(+ harness,ecu) with in the next week from a local yard, i will make my own mounts trans and motor and my own headers and will send the trans to mazworx to get fitted with the transmission adapter plate and get there drive shaft. and i have someone that will do my wireing for me. and i am going to send my 240 coupe to a friend of mine's chassis shop in philly to fully stich weld parts of the body.

but over all i am going to make a car that is fun for me to drive day in and day out .a street/track warrior that will see drifting duties on the weekend and that will take me to school and work on the weekdays. i want about 280hp and about the same for tourqe. i dont want alot of hp because that will make it not fun to drive every day. i just want a uniqe car that fitts me no anyone else.

I'm in SJ, have one of these motors in my S14, and can help you with any issues you might, wiring, etc. I did all of the fab (mounts, headers, exhaust, etc) and wiring on my car. Shoot me an email...

dude i have seen your videos on youtube and the s14 sounds crazy!!!you have nj tags on your car but i didnt you were from sj.

anyway i am going to due the swap in the next few weeks just trying to get some funds in to buy the stuff.

if you can help me bro that will be great. im just trying to do alot of research on the swap before i perform it.

It's in my thread and the timeslips are on my website... 12.8 @ 107 with a 1.89 60'. The car has a lot left in it.

Good luck on your build, this is the right place to get help and info. I have to say tho that I disagree with the above statement 100%. Less hp is never the answer

...but, if ~280 is your goal the VH should get you pretty close in stock form. Keep us up to date with your progress and take lots of photos!
