–noun
inability to obtain sufficient sleep, especially when chronic; difficulty in falling or staying asleep; sleeplessness.

I can never sleep. Im on day 3 without it. It sucks a$$. Ive tried everything...All different prescriptions and I take 7 Tylenols a night. Ive tried smoking the happy grass but Im not that kind of person and I would like to stay away from it if possible. It does work the best though. Even the Wife tries to help :naughty: but nothing...I hate it. My Doctor said I need to go to see a therapist but after 7 years og anger management I dont know how much more therapy I can take.

Weed is the best medicine for insomnia. One of the few things that actually works.

I have the opposite of Insomnia. I can sit down on the couch and five minutes later, be sound asleep. I've fallen asleep sitting up in a chair, I've fallen asleep with my eyes open. I've fallen asleep behind the wheel. You need to go see a sleep specialist. They helped my dad out. It's worth it to go talk to someone who would be willing to test you, see what they can find.

P.S. Sometimes over the counter medicines produce the opposite desired effect if you over-use them. Plus, they can cause liver problems. I'd suggest a trip to the doc.

P.S.S. Weed and Xanax are the best immediate short-term fixes, so I've heard.

I have insomnia too. Staying asleep isn't really the problem, it's falling asleep.

Melatonin usually works for me.

Oh, I feel'ya ..........

I need some Valium, Zanex, Percaset, Darvaset, Vicodin, Calaudapin, sleeping pills and Niquil. I can't sleep yo and it's driving me mad; it's like my eyelids are glued to the top of my forehead. I lie in bed with my eyes wide open but Duddy don't you worry you'll be sleeping in a moment. Then moments turn minutes and minutes turn to hours then hours turn to long a** nights and cold showers. It's four in the morning still wide awake let's see how many bong tokes Duddy B can take. I already drank all the alcohol left in my house now I sit here wide awake with a dry phuking mouth. And I just think of all the things on my mind and then I let um roll around about a million times, until it's got me yeah it grabs a hold of me baby, it's insomnia kids you know its driven me crazy.

Turn out the lights lie my head down, I lie my head down I close my eyes.
Now all I do girl is lie here I think I'll die here insomnia.

Push my face in the pillow to asphyxiate the sound, I'd cry my self to sleep but I'm too scared that I might drown. I'm calling for the sandman but I don't think he's in town, and all these sleepless nights have running thoughts have got me down. I think I got a sudden case of narcolepsy maybe call up Duddy B so we can smoke the best weed. And give me something nice so it can calm my chest piece and talk about these things that we really don't need. Now as I lay in bed in my head I'm running circles stuck in the land of low light and infomercials. Its insomnia kids you know its drivin' me crazy only thing that can save me is an overdose maybe.

Fallen fallen, trying to fall asleep. Fallen fallen but my eyes are just too weak.

lol. it's relatively easy for me to sleep, but i hate going to sleep. i always think i'm gonna be missing out on something.

Since we're on the subject of sleep, what's the most unconventional place you've ever fallen asleep and stayed asleep for more than 30 minutes? For me it was in front of my yard on the sidewalk at like 7pm. i have an affinity for falling asleep on cool ground.

It's 3:10. I just drank a Four Loco. Now we'll see if I can fall asleep. The GF is sick and already in bed. Like Otto said, it's not staying asleep that's the problem, it's falling asleep. Once I'm asleep, even if I wake up, it's easy to fall back to sleep. It's just the initial falling asleep that's the problem. Happy sleeping everyone!

I used to suffer occasional bouts (a week or so long) of serious insomnia. I'd be a zombie and go days without more than an hour or two of sleep at best. It stopped happening a few years ago, though. Now my problem is waking up. I rarely feel fully rested regardless of how much or how little sleep I get. I NEED an alarm clock to wake up, or I could probably sleep for 24 hours straight. I suspect it has to do with the fact that I haven't had a solid reliable sleep schedule in half a decade.

I can sleep anywhere anytime anyhow. I have slept at drag races, wrestling events, parties all stone cold sober. I go home from work and have to fight to stay awake. Hell i sleep at work sometimes.

lol. i've gone on break at work many a times and end up sleeping for like an hour. just give me a nice and cool piece of floor/ground/bed and sleeping may ensue. I sleep the easiest on a hot summer's day, but have trouble falling asleep during a hot summer's night. lol.
