I have searched and and could not find the answers I need. I also notice a lot of people ask and have problems with this area. So I thaught this could help some people.

I'm replacing my blown SR for a redtop while I rebuild and want to clean up the engine bay nicely. My mechanic did the worst wire job anyone has seen and needs some TLC. Please people with nice fuse box wire jobs give us in need pics/advice/pointers to do this right and look stock. Obviously I am asking because I'm no mechanic. Electrical is not my department but I am very good at soldering and heat shrinking.

Here's the wonderful looking engine bay. Notice the possitive battery cable and the little mess near the fuse box. I'm doing this to rewire and repaint engine bay before I drop the new long block in. So here is a before picture.

This kinda speaks for itself.... This faces the firewall

Plugs and un-needed wires. What is the safest and best way to get rid of them? Other than re-doing the whole harness.

The horrific battery and power cables. What the hell do I do with these?

Next on my to do list.

Let me know if I need to re-size these pics....

really ou've already answered yourself. the best way is to undo every wire and trace it. find out what you don't need and take it out, cap it, or de-pin unused wires. then re-wrap all the used wires. basically it's a rewiring job.
