I did a question on what would they take, a Type R Integra or a Silvia S14 SR20Det.

But ofcourse the S14 is the obvious choice for many, shows them honda freak ain't as loyal as i thought. But then again, why do so many of them try to make integra's and civics fast, when they can SR20det a 240sx?See they all want the 240, I think they stick to honda cause its the popular thing to tune...

how COULD they be dedicated to those? integra's, i can see how you can be dedicated to those, but not civics. if i had a civic, i would rice it out to the extreem just because i wouldn't like it and i would try to make it look as crappy as possible. who knows, maybe i could sell it to some stupid little kid for more than i paid for it, cause he thinks its fast w/ that fart can and those altezza's!

I hope more of them make hondas/acuras fast, rather than buying a 240.

Let them live in their fantasy world, that way the few 240s that are left can go to good owners instead of worthless honda boys following a trend.

good one K. yeah, I agree guys, this one kid at my work names Eric(of no relation to the two Erics of the local 240 gorup..weird huh?) has a 1997 integra four door gs-R(yes they did make them) and he likes it, but always goes "man, i shoulda just got a 240..."

hes a cool guy, and his integra is a sleeper, its 180hp to the tires, but it's all super high RPM power and I still beat him :D

at least hes making it FAST...no body kit, only ricey thing is his monster tach hes getting installed "to help me shift" or whatever, I told him he needs driving lessons if he cant shift by his sock tach, or by the feel/sound of the engine.

anyways....w00t for the silvia chassis.-chet

95silvia- a friend of mine and I picked up a 1990 toyota tercel (5 speed 1.5l carburation) for $100. In my town (like all) there are a lot of honda ricers, so we did what any self respecting non ricer would do, completely made fun of them. First step, buy one of those big cans to slap on the back of the already leaking and ricey sounding exhaust. next step, take the peurto rican green engine enamel and paint a big racing stripe right down the center. (this actually turned out to be one of the highest quality racing stripes ive ever seen). Next, remove all dash components and paint with the rican green and yellow colors. Next step: the wally world shift knob and matching pedals. we then sold it to a 14 year old kid for $100 before we could glue a big wing on it. the best part is, the eurotrash loved it.:ylsuper

oh yeah i forgot the "custom aluminum" rear end (it was rotted out so we bought some sheet aluminum and pop riveted it to the back) this went along with the fake silvery chrome we painted the bottom of the front end.

Excluding the idiots on that thread that have no clue what they are talking about technically. I find it funny in that post that the majority of the members seem to not be listening to each other. There seems to be a lack of debate, people are just posting their opinions.

I had a 259hp to the wheels 2000 si civic. i sold it cause it cost to much. I now have a 92 civic hatch and a 92 240sx. Reason i went to the 240 is cause i wanted a rwd import that had potential. The stock 240sx is like a stock 92 hatch to me they both suck ***. To many people with stock 240's dis on hondas when they are just as bad. I hate mt 240 with the truck motor, its just a dog. The nissan is just not fast at all and the civic well its in the same boat. Yeah the nissan handles great but i have never really had a reason to push a car to its limits on a corner. So seen as i have done the honda thing i plan to do the sr20det via dauntless. And then when i am down with the nissan. (350 hp at wheels, silvia front end and c-west kit......) I will start on the honda. Im sorry guys but a civic hatch with a gsr swap and a 70shot of nos is just a fun car. Not as fun as my s13 will be im sure but its still a great ride. I just cant get away from the look of a jet black hatch with a little front lip rolling on some RH's. The civic will be my day to day driver. And the nissan will be my car where all the money will go. One thing that causes honda owners to go for the nissan is lack of torque. Yeah my hatch is like 2100lbs but a bit more tq would be nice. Well that my .02cents and im looking forward to my 240 adventure. And yes im sure someone will hate on me for this coment even though its just my .02cents. but I have seen this borad has a few people like that, its cool

actually, if you turbo the b20 (honda CRV) is not good for the motor. Most poeple would do B20/Vtec anyways, and turbo it is BAD, unless you rebuild the motor, but I wouldn't recommend doing that because the block is bored out enough to have a 2.0 litter. If you take a 1.8 B18A (Integra LS) and re-sleeve it because you would have more room than the b20 to resleeve, there for you can boost it up higher. Plus, the B20 rev limit is around 6, and dropping a vtec head with a 6K RPM to a 8K RPM is, well, you know the answer. Anyways, I'm trying to learn the SR20DET motor right now, but if I have the option of choosing a civic hatch and a s13...it would be a tough choice because I can think of many things to do with the civic, but also, I want to work on the s13 with the SR20DET motor to see the difference. Tough task, but let's see how tough.
