Oh, and the G and 240 are most definitely staying put. Those are gonna be "Date Night" rides.
Plus, Bex knows her way around a 6-speed, so I intend to get her on a track at our earliest opportunity!!
You f***er! I'll be gone in the Airforce I think. I'm definitely coming out there before the spring break 2010 so I can see both of you. When's beckmeister going to be completely moved in?AZhitman wrote:
The more we looked at it, the logistics would put us into early 2010. It would be irresponsible for us to try and put together a big formal wedding at this point in time, but we have every intention of throwing a big shindig for everyone to celebrate, possibly over Spring Break 2010 (it'll be here before you know it). By then, we'll be settled fully in the house, the kids will be acclimated, and we'll be prepared to host an EPIC event.
Due to some other matters beyond our control, legalities, and other complicating factors, we've decided on a small, informal matter, involving just us and the kids... and Bex suggested we do it on my birthday, June 17.
Hell of a birthday present - I can hardly sit still, I'm so damn excited!!!!!!!
We're both very adept at planning, logistics, and coordinating... Hell, Bex runs a damn manufacturing facility every day on a few hours sleep! So, we're pretty good at this planning thing.dusred wrote:Sounds like you guys got it figured out.
I never understood spending half your retirement money on a big event so you can kiss some chick you've already. . . well. . . it probably wouldn't be the first time you kissed her. .
Anyway, good choice. Oh, and I'm a cheap a66 lol!
GL!
Oh, if you don't mind me asking, Greg, are you Chillies pretty happy about Bex?
HA! You'll never forget your anniversary date! Congrats on that thread not being a sham, its appreciated. Are you going to be on the Sponsors wedding registry?AZhitman wrote:Thanks for the well-wishes... you guys are all family, so it means a lot to us.
Something Bex told me, early on in our relationship, and it's very true here:
"There's the family we're born into, and the family we choose... and sometimes the family we choose is closer than the one we're born into."
Truer words were never spoken, and sometimes I'm amazed at how technology alows people to come together over a common interest.
At any rate, we'll be updating everyone regularly, and the first update is this:
Last night, Bex and I discussed our upcoming crazyass schedule, and we're finding that we simply don't have the time available to even HOLD a big wedding, much less take the time to plan and coordinate one... Plus, we want people to have time to plan for travel, and to make arrangements to possibly turn it into a family vacation in AZ for those that wish to.

Put your car on a boat and drive down through Alaska. That would be epic.Gold Digger wrote:Wow...I really don't know what to say...
Please let us all know when the dates are. I'll try to be there, but I have a small problem called the Pacific Ocean that I have to try get over ($$$$).
How about a July get together in Nashville for NICOfest?AZhitman wrote: and Bex suggested we do it on my birthday, June 17.
Saw something like that on a greeting card years ago except it read: "Friends are the family we choose for ourselves." And its absolutely true.AZhitman wrote:"There's the family we're born into, and the family we choose... and sometimes the family we choose is closer than the one we're born into."
Well, at least we know she's a smart one. She already eliminated one gift that she'll have to buy you each year.AZhitman wrote:and Bex suggested we do it on my birthday, June 17.
