auto ownz me from the line. they will both whore me from a dig. but from a roll its an entirely diff story08altima35 wrote:wow, the z 6mt and the a/c 6mt will beat the g from a 20 roll up to about 90 from my experience. funny how the g pulls on both top end. good info. you guys should line um and get a video if you haven't already.

It depends on the year of the G... remember, the 2007 MT G35 Coupe had 293 hp! No way the A/C is beating that when it hits 4th gear!08altima35 wrote:wow, the z 6mt and the a/c 6mt will beat the g from a 20 roll up to about 90 from my experience. funny how the g pulls on both top end. good info. you guys should line um and get a video if you haven't already.
Agreed.. the curb weight of the A/C is a few hundred pounds lighter I believe.. and I def agree it depends on the driver... I'm just now learning how to drive stick... and I doubt I could keep up with you guys if I was driving the G3708altima35 wrote:driver plays a big part, but i also think the cvt is sucking up your power. from a 20 roll with the 6mt your hanging high in first and your rpms are close to redline and at peak hp for the gear where as with the cvt you're waiting for the rpm's to gain when mashing the gas and waiting to reach peak hp which will never reach even close to the peak hp of either the z or the g. the 6mt actually launches pretty good and i can come off the line with any 350z (bone stock), but the z will continue to pull down the track from 2nd gear on. now the g's i can out launch as the a/c is lighter and have no problem holding the lead up to 100mph. but again, this is 6mt vs. 6mt's.
edit: I'm speaking in terms of 06 or greater z's, and 07 or greater g's.
