I saw those prices at first and thought something must be wrong. Appears they are Canadian prices. Truly a good review. Much better than CNET's anyway...

Believe it or not, I can import a new WRX STI from the states (new from a dealership) to canada for the same price I'm paying for a coupe (actually it costs slightly less and includes the shipping, taxes and duty). I was amazed and almost bought one (test drove some here and man did it put a smile on my face when driving; amazing machines). The savings of importing were $14,000 cdn versus the regular cost of an STI here. That's a lot of money.

The reason I decided to keep waiting for the coupe I ordered to come in was because I'm going back to school next year for a master's degree and wanted to keep my line of credit clear for the costs which are hard to predict in my field. The coupe allows me to finance through the dealership rather than providing money up front, and the lease rate is decent and the buyout price is low meaning there will be some equity in the car by the end. This is the main advantage to paying the high prices and not importing.

Don't get me wrong, I like the coupe for its price level, but we really get hosed on all new car pricing in Canada.

I'm fairly partial to this review: http://www.epinions.com/content_400062254724

That may be because I wrote it.

Actually, this is a terrible review. Here's why...

Hint of BMW Z4 at the rear? What the hell? Has this guy even SEEN a Z4's rear end? If by "hint of BMW Z4 at the rear" he means it has tail lights and a place for a license plate, then I agree. Otherwise, no.

The 2.5 does not have a dual exhaust. Two mufflers does not make it dual exhaust. You can put 4 mufflers on it but that won't make it quad exhaust.

"For those who want to 'feel in control', having traction control is important." How does this happen when the entire purpose of traction control is to TAKE control when the driver tromps on it and the wheels spin?

"When you hit the gas to pass, the engine vaults to peak power..." What would he have it do? Drop to idle? I don't see the problem... when you put your foot to the floor, you want power, right? If you don't want 5600 RPM, don't put your foot to the floor... simple as that. Or put the damn thing in manual mode... it's there for a reason.

This is far from the greatest review... it's barely a "good" review.

It absolutley has a hint of Z4 in the rear end. Look at the trunk of a Z4 how is is taller in the middle of the trunk and then slopes down to the tail lights. And below the lights, under the trunk lid, how theres a flat outward facing surface, just like a Z4. It does have a slight resemblance.

Also having traction control does give you a sense you have control. If you start to slide you are "out of control" therefor if the traction keeps you from slipping "you have control" of the car

And the A/C doesn't have 2 mufflers. It has 1 muffler and 2 exhaust pipes.

Close... it has one muffler and 2 exhaust TIPS , LOL

I still think it's the best review on the A/C hands down
