The great tire debate - what do you guys recommend?

Shocks, springs, sway bars, coliovers, bushings, brakes, wheels, tires - This is the place to discuss G-Series suspension modifications!

Well, my rear's are just about ready for changing, and im considering just changing the lot as the front have quite excessive feathering from the previous owner.

What tires do you guys recommend? Its currently got Falken GBR FK 451's and they are so prone to wheel spin, even with VDC, so much so that I feel I have to be 'careful' if I put my foot down - they just don't seem to grip, and the rears have worn so quickly since I got the car, and I don't drive like a maniac.

Everyone seems to rave about Nitto - are they really that good? I'm looking for something thats going to last at least 20k kms and something that really grips in the dry (and in the wet). Doesn't snow here so just need a summer tire.

Well, it looks like these will probably be what i'll try to get my hands on.

Any guys have experience with these, or know of a better tire for a similar/cheaper price? Tires are something you just don't want to make a wrong choice with. They are expensive, have to last you along time and are key to your safety in your car, so i really want to find something thats good.

One of the guys on the board recommended Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 to me, but I'm looking for more of a DD tire like the YOKO avids. You might want to check them out.19 inch tires get quite expensive!!!! I think I'll stay with my 17's for now.I have Potenza RE 750's on my cobra and have been very pleased. Not sure if they make them in your size.I've heard that the KDW's were pretty good. Have a friend who runs them on his cobra.Good luck!

I'm very happy with my Toyo's...and they were $860 shipped for 245/35-19 and 275/35-19's.

I'm super satisfied with my Advan Sports. I've only had them for about 6k miles. But, they're pretty grippy in dry and wet conditions. Don't get me wrong, I can still slide around corners. I was actually going to go with the BFG KDW NTs first. But, I ended up getting a pretty good deal on these Advan's. So, I ended up getting them instead.

I'll change my tires probably end of this year or next spring. Next would be most likely Toyo Versado lx all season performance tire. I checked it out they look slick. My friend got them on his TL. He is happy.
