When reading Stossel stuff do you read it with him in mind? I read it like he is talking it.

Here's an article that he refers to in the article:

Good question, I remember him vaguely from 20/20 back in the day. Most of his articles I have found a good bit of relation to. His piece on education and teachers unions was really good. But to answer you question, I would say say I read him about like I would read any post on here, giving it perhaps a bit more authority, but still it is opinion based writing with a bit of data thrown in.

He is spot-on with the insurance and the economics. That is EXACTLY why universal healthcare would never work unless there was a public option to go to for those who already have illnesses. Insurance companies should NEVER be mandated to fund coverage for all for the same price. The company risk is variable by the individual and can, in most cases, be identified.

The fact that Obama has surrounded himself with people who have never been around business is really coming to the fore.

Yes. Mitt Romney who is now very much more the politician than the business leader.

Actually, what influential role has Romney played in advising Obama on healthcare? Despite Obama's claim of patterning Obamacare after Romneycare, Romney has stated they're not that similar.

Romney says it's not that similar because he's Republican and the Obama stamp on him is death, especially if he tries to run in 2012.

It's very similar - if you don't buy health insurance, you pay a premium in state income taxes (when I could no longer live on my parents' health insurance plan shortly after college, I got a letter from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts saying that if I don't buy health insurance, I owed them $432). The State arranges for a series of discounted health insurance policies for those who can't afford to buy a plan otherwise, too. These are all central to the new health care law.

Romney built his plan off of the '94 Republican proposal, which is also very similar to what was passed.

Not to mention, Jimmy "Dictator Lover" Carter came out last week saying he would have had health care figured out already decades ago if it hadnt been for that pesky Ted Kennedy (now poster child of healthcare reform).

Romneycare should be proof that neither side have a clue about "fixing healthcare" and should stop slinging s*** at the walls to see what sticks.

I'm still waiting for the the explanation as to how Obama has included Mitt Romney as one of the people he has surrounded himself with as a trusted advisor. I missed that White House announcement along with Romney's confirmation that he is now part of Obama's "inner circle." Got links?

Ted Kennedy remarked that not compromising with Nixon on UHC was his greatest political failing.

You brought him up as an example of someone with business experience that Obama has surrounded himself with. I didn't. Back it up or retract.
