I like to entertain the feedback out there about 2003'-04' M45. The good, the bad, and the ugly.

I want to hear feedback from folks that actually work on these cars, mechanics, shop owners, and such.

There are lots of posts (even recent ones!) on this topic. Please use the search button and you will see them.

Summary of the items:

1. Potential engine oil consumption problem. Can get bad enough to warrant an engine change (if under warranty and you push Infiniti!) if the use is more than 1 qt every 1000 miles.

2. Lots of luxury and power and torque for the price. A heck of a value! No really comparable V-8 powered car available for the price - with all the luxury and power on tap.

3. Unique, instantly recognizable looks. Albeit, some people think it is dated, but I love it.

4. A bit tight on inside space compared to the current-gen M.

5. Not as good handling as the current M.

6. Accelerates as well, in most cases, as the current M.

Pretty much all the other issues are relatively minor, imho. After three+ years, i am still happy with my purchase.
