Because:

- ATESSA E-TS (AWD) only available with the new 7-speed automatic transmission, no MANUAL!!- Second, even though the ride height and suspension are unchanged from the standard RWD model, Infiniti will NOT offer:

-Four-wheel Active Steer (4WAS)-the Sport Package (and big brakes)-the Performance Tire & Wheel Package.

on the g37x

way to ruin the ultimate infiniti...

and it looks weird with it's two holes in front...

Infiniti G37x (AWD) Coupe

Infiniti G37S (RWD) Coupe

JDpower said this:

"Under the hood of the 2009 G37x AWD Sport Coupe is Infiniti’s “VVEL” 3.7-liter V-6 engine. It is rated at 328 hp and 270 lb.-ft. of torque. Power is sent through a new 7-speed automatic transmission with Drive Sport (DS) Mode and Downshift Rev Matching. A 6-speed manual transmission is optional. For the first time on the Coupe, all four wheels receive power through Nissan’s ATESSA E-TS Intelligent AWD system. Always engaged, the system is designed to enhance both traction and vehicle performance. The suspension is a 4-wheel independent design with a double-wishbone front and a rear multi-link—both ends feature stabilizer bars. The steering is rack-and-pinion, with vehicle-speed-sensitive power assist. Standard brakes are 4-wheel vented discs with anti-lock control (ABS), electronic brake-force distribution, and brake assist. Fuel economy figures have not been released for the new model as of this writing."

Only the coupes with the Sport Package gets the nose like the red one. The white one is a base model.

The G35x sedan is auto-only as well.

Many of the people who will be buying these are not buying them to race, just daily drivers that can still be driven in the winter, look at the tires on the one in the picture you posted. The 7 speed is a great transmission and I am looking forward to driving one. I have driven a new FX and the paddle/DS mode are pretty decent and still very fun to drive.

The big brakes may make there way out if they come out with a G37xS like the sedan.

The wheels cannot be staggered with an AWD Infiniti, so the 37 coupe Sport wheels will not be on the X with there current size, although a same size variation may be on an xS.

well it's pupose suck. they had the chance to make the ultimate 4wd enthusiast car and they blew it. most people won't care because they don't even drive manual but damn.

could you imagine the fully equiped g37S but with 4WD?

the g37x is just a plain g37 with 4wd. meh to it!

could have been the ultimate bargain gt-R...

I get exactly what you're saying Mehdi. It could have been a baby GT-R just as the Audi TT Quattro is somewhat of a baby Porsche. As a matter of fact, the only other awd coupe in the same price range I can think of is a TT, and it comes in mt. Maybe you'd go for that?

As for me, I can't wait till I can pick up one of these used. I know it will be a long time till I can get a good deal, but I'll keep dreaming till then.
