This Dodge Ram ran a red light on me this morning on my way to work. He clipped my front end and pushed the whole front end over almost a foot. Luckily I had time to brake for a second or else he would have hit the drivers side door. Myself and the other person are ok. Thank god. Thought I would share. I am waiting till Monday for the adjuster to look and will be stripping my aftermarket parts off her just in case. The body shop across the street said it would prolly be over 10k to fix.... I hope they total it. I may have a few aftermarket goodies for sale in the next few weeks. Take a look at my sig if interested. Thanks. Wes

The G went form thisTo this in about 1.5 seconds.

Local pickup would be very easy on my part. I will stay posted and keep everyone up to date on what happens next. I will probably be parting out all my aftermarket mods at a reasonable rate. Please e-mail me in the next few days and we will go from there. And please excuse any delay in response due to work and all other obvious delays. I also have a afc neo air fuel controller and an a-pillar pod with exhaust gauge and a air fuel gauge. Also the pullies and the headers have never been installed either.

Will the pillar pod fit an 08 Sedan?

The shop gave a somewhat accurate estimate. If the front chassis isn't bent, and its just outer cosmetics, It may not be totaled. It depends on your adjuster. But I can bet it would total up to $6,000 in parts. I just did a quick estimate myself. From what I KNOW you'll need, $5,120 in parts. I rounded up cuz I cant see underneath.

Read my posts on ICONS. They were broke and it appears that only a few noticed, appear to be fixed now. I am thinking that some may have not noticed since they have their cache set up differently.

Wes, it looks a lot worse than it is. Not seeing the car on a frame bench, it's hard to say, but by the looks of the pictures, my opinion would be the car is not totalled. The alignment of the left fender to the left door tells me there's not significant unibody damage. It looks like it T-boned another vehicle moving from left to right? The insurance company will use the formula of the visible written damages plus 15% to 20% hidden damages plus the salvage value of the vehicle (with damages). If those three amounts exceed the car's Actual Cash Value, it will be totalled.

Thanks for all the help and info. Adjuster said the visual damage was just under 10K. The car was towed to the body shop late today and I will have to sign paperwork tomorrow. I would give it another week for the shop to conclude how much real damage and what happens next. If it does get fixed, maybe its time to trade for an '09. I also like the looks of the new 370 z as well. Any thoughts or input?

How much did you pay for the headers... That would be a cool upgrade since i am having the motor replaced... they could install them then!

There may be dibbs on the plenum, spacer, and full exhaust from the headers back. I am waiting to see. If anything falls through I will let you all know. Looks like the body shop right off the bat said it may be totalled. 10k just in body parts and the shop has to tear it down and then add there own estimate. I figure, ballpark another 3k and it will be totalled. If so, 09' S will be looking pretty nice.... I will have to wait and see. Wes

I am/was trying to part out locally to avoid shipping. Dont worry, there may be parts left over. I will keep you all on the seat of your chair and waiting.

THe most important thing is that you're okay and no one was injured. Do you have an aftermarket deck? I might be interested.

I think I paid around 700 for the headers. I have someone coming by this weekend and they may pick up the entire exhaust system. We will wait and see. I will let you all know what they dont want. The Kinetix plenum and spacer will prolly be sold tomorrow. I still have the UR pully kit, guages, afc neo, oh and a boomslang plug and play harness for the neo And mods, If you feel that you need to move this to classifieds section, I understand,.. sorry.

I hate to be the one to piss in your popcorn, but your insurance company may have something to say about all these parts being stripped off of THEIR salvage, yes they own the salvage on your car if they pay you and you decide not to buy the salvage back from them. If you decide to keep the salvage, they will deduct what they feel they would have received at a total loss auction (could be 20% to 40% of the ACV on this car) and they will not pay you any sales tax as you kept the car. Keep this in mind as you unbolt. The saddest part is they will never pay you what you have invested only how much the add-ons increased the cars value. Some insurers will let you take mods off if you put the OEM back on.

Ok bentrod, Parts were put all back to stock before the adjuster looked at it and before it was sent to the body shop. Any other questions? Didnt think so. Thanks .STFU.

Oh and if you did not read cleary, the car has not yet been totalled.
