Since yesterday was a very nice day by this year's spring standards, I decided it was a good day to do the first detailing of the year. I washed it, clayed it, waxed it, the whole shebang for 5 hours and it was lookin awesome (had a lot of comments by passersby) and I really wanted to take pictures and show you guys, as is protocol here, but by the time I finished putting everything away, it was dark. So I said, "Whatever, I can just do it tomorrow." Sounded good at the time. Today it has been raining since I've woken up AND I had to drive down a dirt road Talk about 5 hours of wasted time. So, if the rain doesn't spot up and I get the wheel areas cleaned up, I'll post up pictures ASAP.
However, this was the first time I clayed the whole car. I do have to say its pretty nice seeing some of that junk come off, but I don't know if it really improved the shine...definitely made it smooth though. Also, I picked up these microfiber applicator sponge things to wax with...most efficient way I've found to wax...had it all done easily under an hour (only had time for one coat) and it looked amazing. Just wish I had time for another coat with my high-gloss wax. But on the bright side, its one of the sexiest cars now in the rain, too.
And to go with my title...how come every single frickin time I wash my car it has to rain the next day or 2? Honestly
