Probably the last response I was expecting from that post haha. Michigan does have bad roads. But there's 2 reasons for that. 1) It's a pretty big state and the funding we get from Washington isn't as great as it should be. 2) Weather has a lot to do with it, especially this year. The continuous freezing, thawing, and freezing again during winter creates all of those potholes. Pothole season this year is probably one of the worst seasons in a long time. But that's only in the southern part of the state. Go up north and the roads are pretty good.

I don't know how you guys fish up there besides on the ice, but I wouldn't want to go fishing with him if that's what he's catching.

Thats right around where I grew up. I was born 20 miles from there. Cottonwood is/was my "hometown" and many a day we spent at Grasshopper Point in Sedona, swimming in Oak Creek.

That's cool! I haven't done the slide rock swim in sedona yet... I may run the wife up there in a few weeks when the water warms up and go for a dip. I'm kind of partial, but I believe the red rocks in Sedona are the most beautiful, awe inspiring scenes to ever witness. If any of you get a chance to visit Sedona, I highly recommend it... oh and take the helicopter tour! I've done it about 4 times now and the helicopter tour gets better each time!

Slide Rock is fun, but Grasshopper point has better cliffs for jumping. North Fork is where it's at, if you're in for a cold wet hike. You park at the bottom of the switchbacks heading out of the canyon and up to Flagstaff. Start hiking back in the second turn fromn the bottom. It will be a 180º turn to your right. Hop the guard rail, and hike back about 2 miles. The canyon is narrow, and you are walking through water most of the hike, but when you hget to where the spring comes from the rocks and starts Oak Creek, that's the s**t. Take a tent and camp out for a night. Great place.

No need for a helicopter tour. I have off roaded and hiked most of the places you have seen by helo. I lived there until I was 22. There is very little ground around there that I haven't covered.
