take out that safc, throw that emanage away because now you dont need any of it.enter the bikirom setup, the power of a rom tune but the usability the pigyback.put simply the bikirom is a sophisticated eprom emulator which allows you to tweak on the fly and save up to four maps on board, nice for those of us who run diffrent boost levels or have a highly modded engine.

some of the key features are:maf upgrade injector upgrademaf --> map conversionrevlimiter/launch controlboost controlfull access to fuel and timing mapsand the ablilty to control and change almost every paramater in the ecu.

ive curently got one here on my desk waiting to install and i will let you guys know the full details on how it goes and my impressions of it, but for the most part it looks the be the end all for tuning the rb20.........

Carl... once again you prove to be my hero. I don't see where it's listed as being for the RB20 though? But, I am sure you can figure out how to make it work.

For those of you who haven't looked yet.... $299 AUS. That's about $230 US.

add some for shipping and factor in the fact that you have to figure our how to wire it in... that's still really cheap!

I am very excited to hear how it works for you.

Biki... I KNEW that sounded familiar. Biki as in username "badbiki." A royal prick. Modern day Benedict Arnold. For details of his sellout, search any of the Aussie forum archives.

As I recall, he spent a year or so gleaning information on the Nissan ECU from several more knowledgeable members of the forums, and then decided to sell the information. That's not so bad in itself. But then, he went back and deleted all of the old posts where the ROM was discussed, thus depriving anyone else from finding out the same information. It's like forum sacriledge. If there is a forum hell, he will go there.

And now it is ironic that his stuff is being promoted on a forum.

His product had better be really, really good and inexpensive if he wants to buy his way out of forum hell

hrmmm interesting ive never heard of this........from what i remember reading back when i heard about this about 1.5 years ago he had been making daughterboards for sr's for a while, and the megaboard was designed to replace it.i do remember stumbling across a site that some aussie guy did that all he had done was collect info and rom stuff from the forums and started selling it on a cd with software that he claims he had written (romeditor was the software he was selling with it), but it wasnt lucas (badbiki).now ofcourse i could be wrong, but i dont know about this and im not gonna take sides one way or another, im simply promoting something that i feel can benifit all of us that cant afford a pfc or aem.

So how will it work for the RB20? That question didn't get answered.

He doesn't explicity claim that it will work with the RB20, but the RB20 ECU looks almost identical to the Z32. And from what I hear, the maps and other parameters are in the same location (in EPROM).

he states that it will support 27c256 ecus which is how the rb20 holds its rom info.......wulfgang is correct, for the most part all the values that are key to the ecu are in the same place as the z32, cept for certian ones such as vtc control and z32 specific items.from what lucas told me there are 2 diffrent types of z32 ecu's, one being the 27c256 and the other like a ka/sr.for the rb20 ecu you will need an adaptor harness for it to work with it, and as usual since i got mine before it was officialy released im gonna have to make my own harness.

Did you ever get this working? I'd probably consider this over the megasquirt I'm currently thinking about if it's just as good but easier.

The Bibi is realtime updating right? Mean you make the changes on the fly and dont have to turn the car off to save the info?

the current bikiboard is not realtime, altho from what ive seen lucas is working to make a realtime board...however calum of calumsoft has beat him to the punch on that.if you have an rb20 the best tuning method is a proper eprom emulator and a consult cable, far superior to what the bikirom can offer right now.

Throw away your e-manage blue yes, throw away your e-manage ultimate HELL NO!

Emanage ultimate can do: MAF -> MAPEmanage ultimate can do: 2 seperate 16x16 I/J & IGN maps selectable by dip switches on front of unitEmanage ultimate can do: 2-step rev limiterEmanage ultimate can do: anti-stall for atmospheric BOV ventingEmanage ultimate can do: individual cylinder adjustment of I/J & IGN on 16x16 mapsEmanage ultimate can do: control NVCSEmanage ultimate can do: control sub injectorsEmanage ultimate can do: idle fuel correction for cars with big cams

The list goes on. Download the PDF from greddy.com to check out all it can do. I'll stick with the E-M U on my 25 thank you.

I already have a chipped ecu and a romulator. no need for a bikirom. Although the LiveEdit software could use some tweaking.

Although, that looks to be a really promising option. I probably would've taken that into consideration before i got the emanage ultimate

WTF!

I was expecting to read about a CHEAP engine management alternative. But I guess not. Oh well... I guess I'll have to stick with AEM.

Only reason I am concerned with this is simply put... I'll sell my damn AEM for something cheaper that does the same thing. Use that money for something.... choo know...

sounds like an infomercial, are you their saleman or something!?!? i have followed this project from it's infancy, very promicing solution and superior to the overpriced, overated jimwolf rom.although i'm liking the opensource route

yeah i guess i was overly excited about it when it came out.the bikirom concept was good altho its intial execution was poor.i built a turbo ka using the bikirom as management and it works pretty well for the most part...im glad he's working on a realtime board tho because the whole cycling the key thing to update effin sucks.
