Over the course of the summer, I finally had the time to install all of the suspension and brake goodies that I had been collecting for about 8 months.

First, since most of the parts that fill the rear subframe were gonna be replaced, I decided to drop it so that I have better access to bolts.

The goodies.

Here's a before pic.

And here's after + Kosei k-1 rims.

Front left brakes.

Rear right brakes.

And one last pic.

The rims are kosei k-1 16x7.5 +22. I got them off ebay for about 300 shipped. They were white originally, so painting them was a must. Unfortunately, my dumb self had the tires mounted the day after they were painted, so they weren't given enough time to dry, and thus you see the smudge marks on the spokes of the wheel. The color turned out a little bit darker than I would have liked, but they're fine.

Oh yeah.. I switched to aluminum calipers at the last minute as you can see from the pics.

And other parts that went on that you didnt see from the picture are 300zx and some cheap subframe spacers and ARP wheel studs.. and some ccw wheel spacers that i'm not using right now.

pretty cool...did you replace the mc? After finishing my brake swap x4, I knew I didn't like the stocker. Now that i have the new one in...It's super nice...

How much were the extra sleeves from d2?

I kept the stock one. And honestly I'm glad I did. It's so easy to push the pedal, and the feel isn't as bad as people make it out to be. It's only a bit softer than stock. but it's a lot easier to modulate.

I got my lower z32 mounts from mark. He would have charged $100, but he owed me some money.. so I got them for $40.

I hear ya... for me the stocker was just too soft for some reason. With only front ones, it was ok, but all 4 it was kinda soft (i'm using all 4 spl lines too btw). The bigger mc is taking some getting used to, and modulating is in a margin of mm's now, but I still like the aggressive stiffness.

on a sidenote, did you hear anything about the "deffects" on the k-sports? i posted some new info on that thread about 5 down from this one..

I thought something was wrong with my master cylinder or something when I did my brakes and MC. It was hard as a freakin' rock. Come to find out it is just like that. I have gotten used to it and the car stops fine if you press like a mofo on the pedal.

I figure that if I can stand up on it and it lock up a tire then the car must be stopping pretty well. I am still running stock rotors and pads with stainless lines and Valvealine syn. fluid.

Yeah.. I saw that.

I don't know what to say though, besides that my d2's are complete, and that they perform as well as I expected.

Nope, it's gonna stay at this height for a number of reasons:..

1. I just got an alignment, I don't want to disrupt the geometries anymore, especially in the rear.

2. I like being able to not worry too much about speed bumps, driveways, and rough roads.

3. It looks fine the way it is. No need to go hardcore jdm tyte by slamming it all to hell. The fender gap is uniform throughout the wheel-well...

Sorry bro. My car really needed an alignment, and I decided that I should put fresh rubber on better rims rather than the stock ones. If I come across another set(whether on ebay, or locally) I'll let you know..

Yeah, the pebbles gave the picture a purplish tint. I wasn't expecting that, but it does look neat. Thanks.

Car looks good, but why did you drop your entire subframe if you just did subframe spacers? Curious.

Heh.. I wish all of that could have taken me a weekend... try 2 weeks of working on and off, alone, and at my own pace...

I'll look into center caps later...

mad wheel gap? I think not...

Well, I wasn't just adding subframe spacers...

I also changed the brakes, differential, axles, upright(with the 300zx one), and the rear dust cover(for the e-brake).

In fact, I wasn't even planning on putting on subframe spacers at the beginning. I only decided on getting the spacers after the subframe was already dropped. I'll probably add them on later, right? so I might as well take care of it now... that was my logic.
