Headed out to Ocean City for the week last night!!

It was a pretty quick drive out. We left around 6 and stopped in Salisbury, MD for the night around 1. Our Park Place hotel reservations aren't till tomorrow but we decided to leave early. So we are just hanging out in Salisbury tonight and will get there in the morning tmrw.

My aunt, uncle and girlfriend are with me too. We plan on drinking heavily. haha

I will have a full overview of the trip when I get back with pictures of course!!

Enjoy. I love OCity MD. :dblthumb: This is the first summer in 7 years I'm not going there.

Park Place is right in the middle of the action if I remember.

I haven't been there in 9 years. All I remember is cold, filthy water and smelly european people. I may be mistaking OC for Ireland.

Haha Datte, you should meet us down here!!

We have gone for the last five years and it has been nothing but beautiful weather and warm water. However I know what your talking about as far as foriegners, except you are wrong on their location, they are mostly Russian, not European. lol

I have no way to get there thanks to whomever stole my car.

The extremely silly OCMD commercials have made me want to go get sand in my shorts tho. I miss the beach!

That's cool. Its really a nice place, traditional beach town. Nice long boardwalk, free clean beaches, lotsa eye candy, amusement park, big waterpark, good seafood, always fun stuff to see/do, many of which is walking distance. I usually stay at the Holiday Inn Suites on 17th (3 pools, big bedroom jacuzzi in the super suites), right on the boardwalk, just a few blocks from the noisy part of town. :dblthumb:

Yeah, I guess it is the extreme other end of US Route 50...

Datte, I'm sorry about your car, I remember you posting about that a while ago, but I figured you would have had another by now. Weren't you looking for a late model Z31??

We just got to the beach today and I'm already drunk. I was drinking by 2 o'clock. Fantastic.

We had a few sliders at Hammerheads. The food was decent but it had a very small selection and the drinks were a bit overpriced. Plus the draft beers were out of service due to a cooling problem. I don't think we will go back there again. We are still deciding where to go for dinner but it has to be in walking distance cause none of us are in any shape to drive.

As for what I'm drinking, its a combo of a variety pack of 22oz beers, which consists of the following:

Punk American Pale Ale by BrewDog Ltd: http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/16315/39435

I give it a C+ max, decent but nothing I would crave.

Route 113 IPA by Sly Fox Brewing: http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/1853/9365

I agree with the B+ rating. A very nice IPA, but nothing spectacular, and a bit overpowering.

Long Trail Traditional IPA (Brewers Choice): http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/94/48780

I also agree with the A- review overall, maybe even and A. It's a very nice IPA that is smooth and not too overpowering. A very easy drinking IPA.

Also, I'm doing shots of Bulleit Burbon:http://www.bulleitbourbon.com/home.aspx

I've never tried this burbon before, but its actually a very good sipper IMO. Although I've never really tried much more than Jack and Jim. haha

Be sure to stop by the Harborside Bar and Grill (west OC across the bridge), and try one of their Orange Crush drinks. Mmmm Mmmmm Burp. Deadly and they go down too easily. :dblthumb:

I'll have to check that place out Bubba. We ate at Phillips' buffet tonight. Most years its spectacular for the price and we usually go twice (because we love food). However this year will only be a one timer. For some reason they only had one side of the buffet open (usually they have two full buffet's). It was like feeding herds of cattle and the food was sub-par.

If I haven't gone there many times before and had nothing but good experiences, it would have been enough to make me never go there again.

Tomorrow is supposed to be super rainy so I think we are gonna do some exploring, maybe go visit the Dogfish Head brewery in Rohobeth (sp?).

Today was a good beach day though. Very sunny and the water was refreshing. I love vacation.
