i hate the florida sun when it comes to washing my car. i'll hose the car down and when i turn around from getting the sponge the car is already dry and there is water spots everywhere!

i live in the part of the neighborhood where there is no shade.

and if i somehow manage to dry it with a towel, the sweat from my face makes me repeat myself.

oh well i guess i'll wash it at 2 am but its gonna look and feel... you know...creepy

well if washing if at 2 am is what it takes then thats how it must be, also just for heads up, u should try using ICE by turtle wax, from my own personal experiences you can use it in direct sunlight/heat, and it still leaves a streak/spot free shine that it top notch,

its because of the sun i've used up so much of the products i've bought. the dry up too quick to even use .

situations like this make me wish i was back in california.

ICE is probably the best ***QUICK*** detailing product i've ever used. Living in FL also you can apply it directly in the sun and it won't leave residue. It also acts as a 'light wax' it will repel water for a week or so.

2 am may be just a little too extreme.

More like 7- 10 am or 6-8 pm may do just fine...

It is best to do it in shade, however, the higher the sun is in the sky the worse. So like the previous post said, do it early morning or early evening. From my experience from washing in the sun, it helps to get one of those california jelly blades, so then when you wash one section you can squeege it off right away so you wont get any marks whatsoever.

I'm in St Petersburg, FL and in the summer I either wash no later that 9am or no sooner than after 7pm, so even if no shade, there will be no direct sulight either. I usually wash in the complex where I live, then drive over to the carwash and do a spray wax for a quick job. Then I get on the interstate for a few minutes to air dry. This usually does a good job of getting the water off w/o leaving any water spots. Then go home and do a little touch up here and there and I am good to go.

the things is that i'm not available to wash it at those times. mainly due to work and other errands.

I live in SoCal and i still can't wash my car. There is no shade at my house and i have tried to wash in the evening, it just wound up being dark out before i was done and i still ended up with spots.

The last couple of times I have just taken it to the car wash, they do a good job alot of people that work there are friends of the family, and they do a very good job. Except with a black car and where I live i'm lucky if the car stays clean for more than 4 days
