Well, after the first 1000 or so miles we are averaging 32.2 MPG in our Versa (about 75% highway and 25% suburban driving). We made a trip to Evansville, IN this past weekend and on the two fill-ups we averaged 33.7 MPG (90% highway miles). We seem to be doing a bit better than even the EPA estimates. We've been keeping the highway driving mostly around 60-62 MPH with some stretches at 65 MPH. I figured we saved at least $30 in gasoline costs this weekend over our minivan. The Versa isn't quite as comfortable for me as the minivan for long trips, but it is certainly comfortable enough. The only real complaint I have about the car is the placement of the cup holders. I kept bumping into the PRNDL.

WOW - I think those are great MPGs and I'll be happy if we get that from our new V - just picked it up today. Your experience is much better than many I've read so far but sounds like you drive conservatively and I drive more aggressively - I do 80 most times on the Turnpike and I've never had a ticket for speeding (I'm over age 50). Once I get through my 1st tank from the dealer, I will be able calculate my MPGs and I'll give you the comparison. I bet you'll get better MPGs than me which is a statement to your driving more conservatively - thanks so much for sharing our numbers!

Oh, yeah, I agree about the cup holders!

That really great milage! The V i had got 28 at most. =/ But I delivered when I had it, so i didn't drive conservative like you do. And the cup holder are a bad spot, but my back cupholders in my Cavalier, are in the inside top of the compartment between my front seats ,so if someone is using it, i dont have an armrest. =[
