So, even after adding the roof rack and lowering the 411 wagon (Alice), there still seemed to be something missing.

Enter my friend Tony, from www.astripe.com

I told him I didn't really know what I wanted, but that it needed something to tie it all together - a "finishing touch".

And the rest is in the pics (finished product towards the end...):

That's some beautiful work. :bigthumb: IMHO, the pinstriping adds style but 3 rear window decals kinda cancel it out. I suggest keeping the fun center Datsun decal and removing the two corner ones. Just my humble $.02.

Good advice. Those gotta go.

The vintage (and incredibly rare) Datsun decal stays. :)

Might be a dumb question, but what is this?

Does it hold a golf bag or something?

Pretty sure it's an air conditioner.

Looks awesome, Greg. :)

Swamp cooler is the proper terminology. Wet down the inside cage, and as you drive, air goes through and evaporates the water, making it cooler via the refrigeration effect. Has 2 pullstrings on the inside to rotate the liner for when one section gets dry.

Old school.

Oh, and Alice's new tramp stamp looks awesome, G. I was about to make that joke, but Adam beat me to it, lol.

Huh...

I'm going to be the Negative Nancy and say I liked the car better without the pinstripes. The pinstriping is neat, and the car is a beauty, but they don't go together. I expect to see pinstriping on 80s F100s and 60s Impalas. Not on cute little round things from Japan. The car's pretty basic styling-wise, and the busyness of the pinstripes just doesn't suit it.

I love the swamp cooler, though.

I like it, i've always been a fan of pinstriping.

I do feel like something seems out of place though IMHO. I think it's the design on hood that feels wrong(not the striping, just the design in the front center). That's just me though.
