He has a point. In the past the MOH winners were mostly due to courage under fire in which their actions succeeded in advancing us militarily. Granted, that's kinda hard to do in a "war" with no real lines and the enemy dressing and mingling as normal citizens.

its also hard to do when ultimately, we just dont engage the enemy as much as we did in actual ground wars.

Exactly. Iraq/Afghanistan is a completely different beast than prior wars, including Vietnam.
