Alright, here's the start of my fully custom Versa "sport hatch"

First, I tried debadging..

Then, I tried new tires and tinted windows and some stock looking wheels...

Now, I've got a drop and a pretty killer stereo...

Call me crazy, but that just looks like a cosmetic cap over the wheel center.

Still, dig those wheels big time!

<sighs> Yeah yeah yeah, I got a great deal on these wheels, and for being 15" wheels, they really add a good deal of aesthetic pleasure! Well, that and steelies are 50 billion pounds and made my 6 speed feel more like a hamster running in a steel cage...

Still, the HID's are en-route from Japan, so I'm completely stoked about that! Plus, we're checking on the price of completing my custom body kit... I can't wait!

i would post the initial sketches, but I'd prefer to show you the final product so I can truly be the first to do this to a Versa...

What are you using to lower your car? I'm guessing coilovers cause the spring that i know of dont go that low.

LOWER!!!

I would say to drop your car lower. You got aleast a 3 finger gap in the front and 2 finger in the rear. Other then that it looks nice...besides the rims...they look like you got them for a great deal....how much did they charge you for those...?

I used TANABE springs (by which I HIGHLY recommend - ride quality is excellent) which dropped it by 1.5"

Also, the wheels are good quality and I think they look good... they just look more stock than others. I wanted to keep the car looking like it was meant to look like it does...

Originally, the wheels were $125 each, but through a friend, I managed $250 installed.

you do realize that the HIDs are going to be illegal here in the states due to them being RHD. I hope you have a shield mod or projector swap already planned to make them ok for driving in the states. PLUS you will be putting the needed light on the wrong side of the road and blinding oncoming traffic. Just some FYI.

Ok, I don't understand this whole "lowering " the car thing. Wouldn't you bash your tires or the underside of your car if you hit a speedbump too hard or something?

lowering the car involves an increase of spring rate or a harder ride in other words. So that this doesn't happen. NOW if you lower your car by heating your stock springs and compressing them, THAN you run many dangerous risks, but you will more than likely end up bottoming the car out a lot.

Your car looks great. I think it could use a new grille, but options are very limited. I don't know if that will be part of your custom kit though.

I wanted to thank everyone who is supportive of this project because it is my first FOR ME (I've built kit cars and stereos for others...). There is a great deal of work involved, but I think this car is really worth it! Low insurance, a cool, European design, and great ergonomics.

So, if anybody has something that they want to see done, give me some more ideas and your stuff could go on the car..

In the works:

HID KIT w/ ProjectorsCustom Body Kit
