Between Obama and McCain...not any other topic.

Is anyone else done talking about these two? I just want to the election to happen and see who wins. Every time the issue comes up, I change the channel or walk away.

I was just seeing if anyone else is to this point too.

Now there are some other things I'd like to talk about. Like that Prop 8 Cali has which is similar if not the same as Prop 202 in Az.

I've become bored with presidential stuff.

I've been paying more attention to candidates for governor, however. Our incumbent Matt Blunt did a decent job, fiscally, but healthcare spending cuts have made him unpopular so he isn't running.

Its likely we'll get Jay Nixon, Democrat. Kenny Husholf voted against the federal bailout, but ultimately I will be voting for Andy Finkenstadt, Libertarian.

We will be talking about this well into January. If you want to talk about something else start a thread with that topic and see if others show up.

I never really paid attention to the politics forum because it seemed like there wasn't much Canadian content to chat about. In my interest of following the American election I have paid closer attention to the politics forum and it seems that it does a great job of bringing out the negative in many members I previously held much more respect for.

No matter who gets elected, I hope people here don't get too choked up about it.

I think we'll all be fine.

In the end, I don't think there's anyone here I wouldn't welcome into my home and serve them dinner.

...well, I might fart on Bob's lasagna, but...

you only have to wait for 1 more week and then the election is over...then like tms said, you can creat another thread about the political issues that matter to you and we can discuss those then.

...with plastic silverware.

Incidentally, anyone ever see Dirty Rotten Scoundrels?

Whenever I think of Howie, I envision "Ruprecht" with the cork on the end of his salad fork.

God, I'm cracking up just typing it...

Oh HELL yeah!

My best female friend, Vicki, who I've known since we were 16, has an apron (it's a big one) that has that saying on it.

She's a phenomenal cook.

Hey I don't care where the table is?

As long as it is big enough to do a victory dance on top of it by all the Dems celebrating. We''ll need a huge table.

We'll even allow some on the right join in should they wish to do so

Lets just remember that after November 4th we can forget Red States, Blue States, we are all members and citizens of the United States.

Gee thanks!

I'm reading McCain may lose in Arizona?

Have you been losing all your friends and neighbors to the Dems?
