what's up, This is my first post on the NICO forums. I have a concern with the door switch or the wiring. A few weeks ago, I moved my battery to the trunk (which gives me plenty of room for my upcoming SR20DET project). The battery is now mounted in the trunk where the negative terminal is grounded in 3 seperate locations (in the trunk) and the positive (4AWG) wire is fused and run to the front of the car (I ran it under the drivers side step plate, where most of the wires are run).

The first time I started my car and since then, my dome light and cluster (door open) light stay on. I have no idea what the problem could be. I went to a junk yard a little while ago and got some door switches and went around every door removing and replacing the switch by trial and error. The light remained on every time. Now that I know it's not the buttons, what else do you think would be the problem?

In the beginning the light went off and would pop back on (only on the first day) but now it's solid. I know I didn't break any wires or hurt anything durring my project. Could the positive lead from the battery be causing interference?

HMMMM, the only thing I see in the schematic is the door switches go directly to the combination meter. If a door is open the switch grounds the light on the dash. Now maybe you damaged or grounded one of the switches while you were working. The circuit is very simple though so be on the look out for pinched wires or whatnot.
