Zenki, Chuki, and Kouki usually go by model changes, which can mean body or engine/other changes. For instance in the US we technically only got a 1989-1994 S13 240SX so there would only be a Zenki 1989-1990 240SX and a Kouki 1991-1994 240SX. But since we revolve around Japanese cars (the words are Japanese after all) we can refer to the 1989-1990 240SX as Zenki (early), and 1991-1994 240SX as Chuki (middle), because in Japan the 180SX was made until 1998. Thus 1997-1998 180SX's are Kouki (later), because the body and engine change was in 1997. Here are some pics for help:

S14 Silvia can be broken down into 1994-1996 Zenki's because they have older bodywork and electronic differences from the later models.

S14 Silvia Kouki 1997-1998:
As for S13 Silvia's, there are differences between the headlights and engines of the 1989-1994 models, but it is usually very hard to spot differences...
S15 Silvia's have some slight differences. They were only made from 1999-2002 and there are at least two variations. There was an early model made from 1999-mid 2001, and from later 2001 on the turbo was switched to an S14 turbo.
