We all know standard is faster... but how much really is the difference, for example... what might be the 0-60 and 1/4 mile time between a 91 240sx stock stick and the same auto... (professionally driven)

It doesn't matter Tino. Your car is still slow.

auto/tourqe converter will give an advantage in most 1/4 mile races, especially bracket racing...

launch....1/4 times biggest deciding factor these days is 60ft time...60fts are generally lower with a auto/tourqe converter vs. 5 spd.

ok so 5 spd or standard will get a head start but in the long stretch the auto/tc will have the upper hand

Tino also said stock vs stock : )

just for comparison, the auto 240's at the meet ran low 17's to mid 16's with mostly just having I/E. The manual 240's ran mid 16's to mid 15's. Now Carlos' 240 was turbo'd and Robbie's had Nitros Oxide, but all I have is a cone filter and I broke 15's :D

I don't see that big of a difference, I prefer weekend warrior to be a stick but for my daily its being an auto.

Now, if you could just put those words together to form a coherent message we would all be better off! ;)

weren't you held back in 5th grade for 5 years anyway? you must of had an advantage over everyone else in your last year. are the 6th graders impressed with your spelling ability now that you have passed 5th grade?
