Well, before I go to bed, I'll offer a bit of info.
In 1989 and 1990, the 240 had the KA24E SOHC engine, with 140 HP, and 152 LB/FT of torque; from 1991 through 1998, the 240 was equipped with the KA24DE DOHC engine, rated at 155 HP (or 160 HP, I'm not really sure), and 160 LB/FT of torque. Both are capable engines, with some debate as to which is the best. Nismo offers more parts for the KA24E, plus that's what I have, so I'm biased. ;-) The DOHC breathes better, especially at higher RPMs, and if you are not planning on tearing the block apart to build the engine up, the DOHC is the better option.
The LSD on the US market S13 (all 240's from 1989-1994) was only offered on cars with Super HICAS, a 4-wheel steering option that people either love or hate. It is always a good thing, and is recommended, regardless of your intention for the car. That being said, my preference would be to put a LSD in a car that didn't have Super HICAS, not due to my like or hate for HICAS (I've actually never tried it), but simply because there is less to go wrong with a non-HICAS car.
I've linked a picture of my pig-nose, which is just disgusting. I absolutely hate it, but hey . . . it's what I have. I'm sure someone else will put up a pic of their non pig-nose.
