Not that I'm planning on trading my G anytime soon, but like any good car nut...I'm always planning on what I want to buy next.

The car nut in me (the devil on the shoulder) wants a red Z-car/manual transmission. :naughty:

The angel on my other shoulder is tired of small cars. I can't ever take more than 1 person with me 'cause nobody wants to climb in my backseat. Went to LR to see that concert and I had to warn my friend on how little she could take and my 88 year old Mom can't even get in my car. :frown:

OK, this is what I have the hots for and you guys have to tell my what you think. Have you seen the new Kia Sportage? OMG...it is so good looking. You can get a turbo and I think it has 279hp. I realize the thing isn't going to handle like my G, but I think sizewise it would be a good vehicle.

No flames please but I really don't think I will buy another Infiniti. I'm kinda disappointed in quality per dollar.

Like I said. Just thinking. It will probably be 2 more years.

Life is short, get what you want/need.
You can always get the red Z later.
Have you checked the Rogue or CR-V? They seem to be in the same category.

haha! Yeah, I don't have that problem! I enjoy looking at cars (probably too much), but always appreciate what I have. Have a V on my calendar, so might go check out some. Interested in seeing that Juke so I might have to hit Nissan.

I like the Juke for something different as well. And Turbo is always fun.

I had the same problem. After 8 years in a G coupe I was tired of no carrying capacity(people or stuff) plus we get the occasional big snow. However I ended up in a FX35 and I love it. No it doesn't have the fun factor I'm used to having but that can be fixed. I'm currently looking for an RX7(I've had 3) or maybe a mid 90's Miata for play and quick small item trips :yesnod

That is one advantage I have. I always have my Camaro when I get my need for speed.

if you enjoyed nissan/infiniti and it was good to you, check out the Juke. they are turbo as well. i have never driven one but seems to fit what you need.

i have always like the murano and infiniti's cross of that. they are really good looking crossovers.

How about a G sedan? I take the wifes car when I have to carry people places and take mine when I don't.

runs great after 21 years and 89K miles.

Aww...I'm sorry. I really didn't mean to sound that way. I love my G. ;) I don't think it is low quality. I'm just kinda disappointed in some parts of it i.e. crappy paint and squealy brakes. :squint:

Have you driven a Furd lately? Seriously?
I too have been very disappointed in the reliability/build of my Nissan/Infiniti's, but I DO love my G's!!! :chuckle:
I had much better luck with my Furds (12) than my Nissan/Infiniti's (10).

Consumer Reports seems to like the Kia's, but I haven't really looked at them. I did check out the Juke the other day. I went on a road trip to Guitar Center which my daughter and she spotted a GT-R in the parking lot, so we had to do a U-turn. :yesnod

GT-R :woot: They are beautiful.

Hubby is on his 2nd Ford truck. I don't know if he will ever buy anything else. The first was a Sport Trac. My bad...I had to have it then hated driving it so he took it over. Now he has an 08 F150 with the sport package. It is a beautiful truck and everybody that rides in it loves it.

haha, yep, she is special. She sat in the GT-R in the showroom, looked up and said 'I think I picked the wrong major'.....not sure which major includes buying a GT-R, but I guess she thinks graphic design ain't the one.
She says the Altima Coupe is what she wants when she graduates.....which should be this time next year!! :woot:

Have never owned a Furd truck, came close a couple of times to getting a F150 4x4, but ended up with SUV's. Maybe one day!

True, not sure she can support me with that major either. :)

All dad has ever had is F150s, his '85 351 4-barrell was the most fun.

True, but LS1 is in everything these days.

Do have a friend with a LT1 in a Blazer, but that's a little different than a 4runner.

Wow...I bet then needed a shoehorn for that!

Seems like everytime you see a V8 stuffed into a small vehicle, it never runs right. I never understood that. If you want a V8, get a pony car...if you want a small car/engine...Supercharge/Turbo the crap out of it.

I love my LT1. It sounds great. Lots better than an LS1 or LSwhatever. :yesnod

Back to my Sportage. I have been doing a little reading. First...the turbo won't be out till around February of next year. The article I read didn't have any fuel mileage figures. I'm afraid by the time I ordered that engine, the options I would want and leather I would have a lot more money invested then I would like to have invested in a KIA.

I still think they are sharp as HELL! :dblthumb:

I've only seen the commercials, but the outside does look sharp. Decent HP numbers too. I didn't care for the interior though.

If you want an SUV, why not the FX?

Maybe over some of these long weekends we have coming up I can go do some looking around. Like I said before though...I have to be careful. I am an automotive impulse buyer. I'm also not ready to part with my G. I would miss you guys too much. ;)
