"Im like a dog chasing cars, I wouldn't know what to do with it if I caught it....I just DO things" The perfect explanation of just how nucking futz the joker is. that and the bank robbery scene at the beginning coupled with the burning money further along! I think played him perfectly and now i just want to cry bc I know there will never be another I heard a story about heath hanging with Jack Nicholson to try and pick up some of his idiosyncrasies that he brought to the role and Nicholson even told him "you need to slow down kid". I love batman begins and think its 10K times better than any of the previous batman movies but this one def takes the cake, everything a batman movie should be. And sorry to be a jerkface but as soon as I saw this thread I knew enough to stay out untill I saw the movie lest some jack@$$ throw in an unannounced spoiler, its gen chat ppl, its full of awfull jerks who dont mind ruining the best movie of the year for you. Then again if I was a mod and could hand out teh Bans like hard candy maybe I wouldnt have been so cautious lol ppl who ruin movies like this deserve to be drug out into the street and beaten. If it doesnt say spoiler in the title: DONT FVKING RUIN IT FOR THE REST OF US! its common sense you GD barbarians.

Ahh they did? Wow, that's commitment. I can always tell what scale a model is when a movie blows something up by how the water/smoke/flames look and behave and that scene really threw me. Makes sense now.

Oh, and did anyone else audibly call out "No!" when the Murci got t-boned?

I knew something like that was going to happen as soon as he got in it. I just cringed and hoped for the best. I hope that was a kit car...

Actually, from the time I saw him in the Murci I shouted out "CRASH IT!"and some chick was like "oh no! I hope he doesn't" I squirmed in my seat when I saw the guy in the van revving his engine....and when it was hit, I shouted YESSSSSSSSS!!!! ! in glee. while everyone else was moaning I was laughing manically.

I just KNEW it was coming. and that made it even better. you can't have a rich playboy superhero without one of his expensive cars being destroyed.destruction is AWESOME.
MinisterofDOOM wrote:Yeah, but he's not doing that to be intimidating. He's doing it to disguise his voice.
Well, it's actually for both purposes I think. either way, it's funny

ALSO, if I saw this guy standing like this in front of me....I'd die laughing too.

Movie was pretty sick. I would definitely be ok with them not making another movie since it cannot top this one but you know how people love trilogies. I also thought that Aaron Eckhart played Harvey Dent better than two-face.

All of you who shout ANYTHING in movies need to learn to STFU. No one thinks you're clever or funny. All anyone else thinks is that you're ruining their moviegoing experience. Because you are.

Easily the best superhero movie EVER made. Easily the best portrayal of a villain in ANY kind of movie. The pencil trick. The hospital. "I just want to make my phone call". Just - damn. And you have to see it in IMAX to get the full effect. Pay the extra 2 dollars.

I loved Lucius Fox interacting with the potential blackmailer. That was funny as hell. And I agree that Two-Face was overdone and underacted, but that's my only dig at the movie. Well, except... Batman was crashing thru cars and car wrecks with the bat bike, but then he shot up the glass window so he could drive into the mall...?

I would see it at IMAX, but the one near me is like a globe shaped screen, it makes the visual effects really awesome, but the parts where they are just talking are distorted and awkward.

I saw Superman there, and it was just like that.

Hey want to see a magic pencil trick?

I found a dark, tiny, and slow version of this...

so I lit it up, resized it a bit bigger, and speed it up..

Someone save this before this image host fails..

Iknorite?but once someone starts it's open season. once the first guy opens their mouth, you just know more people will chime in.luckily for me, I'm always in the showing where there actually ARE funny people. I save my comments for times when people appreciate them and keep it down to one or 2.

lol at the start of this thread... if you didnt want it to be spoiled then you shouldn't be looking and reading about it

I saw it and thought it was awesome. Just the way the Joker was in this film over the other Batman films was great, THIS is the way it should have been long ago. I hear people want a grammy for Heath Ledger? That's absolutely retarded. He did a good job, but honestly, 1) he's dead, and 2) ppl only are sooo appreciative of his role BECAUSE he's dead... he played it awesome, but idk about a grammy.

I was kind of upset when 2 face died, I thought he did alot more in the comics than what was shown in the movie... ya think he's not dead and they just held a funeral and he comes back?

So all this good and no bad... I sat through this 2 1/2 hour long movie, THEN the credits for what?... NOTHING! I expected a scene after the credits! Even friggin f&f had a scene, hell, Ferris Bueller's Day off had a scene, but not BATMAN?! Ridiculous.

Can't wait to see it in IMAX

I'd say most of the audiences at movies where you do that feel like you owe them about $7.50.

The only "open season" concerning shouting in movies involves the shouter, me, and my knife.

Just saw the movie last night with my lady and it was awesome, she even loved it and she's never seen any of the batman movies...

The hospital that they blew up was actually just outside of chicago in one of the suburbs, those of you who live around here might recognize it as the old brach's candy factory, i was watching it live on the news when they blew it up at work last summer, it was awesome!

I was actually there for the scene where the batmobile was blown up in the tunnel, i think they called it lower 5 but it's actually called lower whacker drive, and that's our usual chill spot when we go to the city to drive and do automotive activities, they actualy came down and said we had to leave cause they were about to start filming, we did but we stuck around the area to watch the shoot, it was awesome!

Is there anyone that didn't like this movie? Everything in this movie was spectacular. Sure it had one or two querks where people with a good eye could easily tell some parts were computer generated but really, this movie was perfect. All the characters were great. They each played their own roll and had a different perspective on things which I think made the movie. Sad to see Morgan Freeman go though. He was one of my favorites in the Batman series and in movies in general. He's one of those actors that makes a movie better no matter what role he plays in it.

Overall great movie, it definately deserves all the big awards and Heath should get the supporting actor Oscar IMO.

No Heath Ledger played the Joker all throughout the movie. He died post production of the Dark Knight. Johnny Depp is finishing Heath's role in another movie.

Where did you hear that Morgan Freeman was out? In the movie, he said that as long as that eavesdropping gadget was working, he wouldn't work there. Then he destroyed the machine after they were finished with it. What did I miss?

^ He said that he would help Batman just this one time but it would mean his resingnation. Sounds to me like he quit. Even so, he was the only one with access to the device and after batman was done using it he typed in his name and the machine self-destructed.

freeman did say he would help batman but it would mean his resignation...because the machine was too much power for anyone to have.

batman's response...that's why you're the only one with access to it.

when you're done, type in your name.

freeman will be back.
