Baaaaaaaaaa! That's the sound of Winbloze-using sheep.
Actually, it's on my work laptop (OpenSuSE Linux/XP dual-boot). More than 90% of my duties at work involve interacting with our Linux infrastructure, so it's simpler to have that on my desktop. However, we also have a few things (Visio and Great Plains come to mind) that simply require Windows, thus the need for the dual boot. Open Office (open source MS Office equivalent) had nearly no compatibility issues with versions up to 2003 of MS Office. However, the file formats changed with 2007, and Open Office has yet to fully support the updated formats.
On a different note, I run XP at home because I run a fair amount of games on it. On top of that, I'm not quite ready to try to get the wife acquainted to the quirks of a different OS.
