The correct way to check working coil pack?

Looking around the net and this forum, it's just hard to find the correct way to verify if a coil pack work or not. Everyone seem to have the correct way but on the other hand, everyone do it wrong by the opinion of others.

I was just wondering, for the CA18 gurus, which method do you use to see if ther are still good?

Not really that hard, ca18, sr20, doesnt matter. Same procedure. 1. Remove the plugs on each coil.2. Notice if the engine runs differently on each cylinder (it should)3. If one particular coil doesnt seem to make a difference, then that coil is the one not firing.4. Replace said coil.
