Ok so last year I bought a low mileage ka24de to swap into my 92 hatch. When I finished swaping the motor i couldn't get it to stop leaning out when I hit the gas. So I replaced every sensor, every hose, wiring harneses ,etc. Nothing fixed it.
After spending alot of money I didn't fix the problem, so I hooked up a narrow ban AFR gauge the other day after replacing my walbro with an old one. When hit the gas it leaned out go figure.....then slowly it went from an ideal idle to rich richer pig rich.(which I knew COULD be normal because I removed my EGR and all emissions). but then I thought well too much gas in the system isn't good so I looked in the oil to make sure there wasn't any gas and of course it was there. So I replaced the FPR with my old one which still worked, still nothing. I tested the injectors spray pattern before and didn't notice any leaks ( I hear when the o-rings are bad it usualy is pretty noticable when it primes ), I tried to swap my old injectors back on but a mud dobber wasp made a home in the fuel rail. needless to say I cleaned them and tried to use them, but of course the car wouldn't even start, so i put the other ones back on and steped away. Im going to test the injectors for leaks when i get off work tomorrow.
But if they dont leak what could it be besides piston rings, the motor only has 98k.
