I have carried around my full size mountain bike inside the 240 with all its wheels on.

I have also used it to transport a large 80's television and a fridge.
I love fitting huge things in small cars because who really needs a truck?

I would totally rock a cartruck. Something the size/form of a Subaru Baja without the ugly-a** styling. GMC should have imported the Holden Ute.

The Ute is badass.

Well, you could always take a Dodge Rampage or Plymouth Scamp, and swap in a TIII motor. Those are kind of rare, though.

I once transported an 8-foot potted tree in my old accord. Stuck it through the sunroof .
Pretty sure it was still a car though.

And here I thought this thread was going to be about the ginormous size of the new Ford sedans. my neighbor has a new Ford 500 and the car is monstrously big, it makes my S14 look like a matchbox car and is almost as big as my other neighbors Trailblazer.

Yeah, the new-gen Taurus absolutely DWARFS both my Q and my LS, neither of which are very small themselves.
My cousin has a FiveHundred/Taurus and it's ridiculously tall. I can't stand cars that are that tall.

My wife uses her Z31 2+2 for a truck. She went to nursery the other day to pick up some plants (a few she said) and came back with the whole back of car filled up. I couldn't believe how much s**t she had loaded in there!

It's not just that they are tall, but they are wide as hell, I sure hope that with as big as they are they have a TON of interior space, otherwise it's a waste. Honestly though if people want a car that big they ought to just suck it up and get an SUV crossover. I had never seen one until he got it a couple of weeks ago and it was parked behind me and since I live in the city there is just on street parking, so I got a real understanding for just how monstrous they are. TO think he had a Lincoln Navigator and an older Chrysler 300 (not the Bentley wannabe body style) and now he has this. Funny thing is he's an average size guy so it's not like he really needs something with a ton of interior leg or side room.

Oh, they're massive inside. FWD packaging already allows for a LOT of interior space for given outside dimensions. The Taurus could seat 5 adults comfortably for a long trip.
As for the Crossover point...

The Freestyle/Taurus X, Flex, Edge, and MKX are all Taurus-derivatives.

The only reason new cars look so goddamn tall and big is because of side impact regulations and other regulatory boa constrictors.
Oh the days of this....
