After blowing my old CA(long drive with a dripping oil return hose) I had a stroke a luck, and had a chance to get with Dee and get a rebuilt 0 mile Ca. From what I can tell, motor looks good, hopefully it runs even better. Pics in a minute!

Cant wait to get it installed, hopefully its done this week. Its been along time, driving a cavalier for the time being. pushrod 4 cylinder w a 3 speed automatic. talk about slow. Anyways, heres my new motor/transmission combo that should go in this week.

I have a whole nother motor sitting around, so I have plenty of extra parts.

Has anyone ever seen any gains out of porting the stock manifold for use in excess of 300whp?

bwahaha! you bet your sweet a$s i did. my buddy and i both did the butterfly valve delete thing (tgv delete on his 02 wrx) and i saw about a 100cfm increase on our homemade flowbench. he saw about 150, but the wrx butterflies really suck a lot more balls than the ca ones. the design of the lower intake manifold is almost identical though.

i dont have mine running, but his car went from going like an m3 to going like a freaking rocket. seriously, my balls receeded into me when he put his foot down in 3rd. its using a td05h 20g at 15psi, so it should be making a bit over 300hp at the crank. close enough man?

I personally like my butterflies. I'm making in excess of 300hp, and I've had both with and without. And I think I get more low end with them in. And the turbo pulls hard on top end with the big turbo... thats just my .02

I want to leave them in however, just want to get the manifold slightly ported. Cleaned up runners.
