I havent really got much done but im slowly getting there little by little, the only thing constructive I have accomplished is the oil building up in my driveway, and every where else I go.

ANYWAYS... My bf had his spair silvia bumper laying around so I decided to snag the pignose lip off of it. I also decided to start tearing the nasty upholstery off the door panels. It was a PITA, but a wire wheel on a die grinder made quick work of it. I only got the drivers side done cause I was trying to do 3 different projects at once. The fabric I found is zebra print, only its bright pink and the black part is some kind of vinyl. I just wanted to be different. Thats all for now!

I have a lot more I want to do, but I dont have any $$ right now, so its going to take a lot of time.

This is my pink valve cover, this pic is crappy so you really cant tell.

Looks very good, have you figured out where the oil leak is coming from?

I was under the impression that Verts were only white, black, and red (the cherry color). That burgandy does look good on it though, like it better than my red one.

First place to look is front eng seal. Otherwise rear eng seal and possibly vavle cover gasket (usually doesn't make it to the ground though).

I know why its leaking and already tried fixing it. Im not too worried about it because im in the process of "building" another engine for it right now. (but we'll see how long that takes!) Its got a slight rod knock to it, but I figured as long as I keep if full of oil and im not hard on it hopefully it will run until I can put the other enigine in.

When I first bought it, it was making this horrible loud noise. The guy said that I would need a new timing chain, blah, blah, blah. When I got it home, I looking at everything. The top guide was laying on the chain, it had completely broken off. That wasnt the problem. Well my dad thought he would get in and help. I swear I was away for 5 min. and he had the front timing cover torn off, and as most of you know the front cover bolts to the oil pan. Luckly my bf came over and told me the tensioner was probably just stuck. I went and bought some of "the right stuff" cause I guess its supposed to be the best gasket stuff in the world but, its still leaky. But oh well. It seems like every 240 in my area leaks. lol.

Accoriding to the online nissan guide it is a "cherry red pearl" and was only on the 94's. But phans784 is the same color, his is a 93. Who knows. Maybe his was one of the first ones to get that color in the late 93. My paint has issues. the frotn bumper is pealing, and the drivers side from the door to the quarter panel is all bubbly. It was hit when the previous owner had it, and who ever did the work didnt do to good with the paint!

Also, no more sunken wheels for me... Being my bf has been building his car for 10 mo. now Im borrowing his spacers... I hate the sunken wheel look.

I also bought what I think is a pretty bad-*** shift knob, and what others think is well.... something else. lol.

Dildo shift knobs are quite popular. Is yours already 5-spd converted?

Ah the 'Red Pearl' was a Vert color for '93-'94 apparently, I never noticed that. Only 482 of them in the 2 years though.

I thought it looked tiger too but the labeling on it said "zebra" at JoAnn's.

LOL. funny you ask... There is another pink convertible most of you guys have seen it im sure its got the s13 front, might be widebody. I believe the guy sold it and I havent seen it floating around on the net since. I used to work at napa, we just got the 2007 colors right before I left and there is this BRIGHT PINK that is really metalic. ITS GORGEOUS! I was thinking about that or doing black with pink Pearl and having my wheels powder coated pink like these.

Idk about the lowrider one, lol. Ron's car is one of the ones I like, Im not crazy in love about it but I think its hottt.... I really dont want to be a copy cat.Im going to try to come up with something of my own. I really want to do the s15 face but I dont like how the front is round and the rear end of the s13's are more square, maybe if I made it widybody that would give it some curve to it, idk. Everything has to flow.

I dont mind this especially on a hatch.

Not to thread jack or anything, but how did you reupholster the panels? Or did you get someone else to do it? I was thinking about doing pink zebra too...ok not really I was thinking of rewrapping them in leather.

Anyways good luck to you, looks like you have been shopping around already, and here in TX there's a civic that's metallic black with pink pearl, at night you really can't notice the pink, but in the daylight, whoo

that is one nice paint job

On the verts the panels come apart, or should I say fall apart. Once you have the panel removed.Cut the fabric a little bigger then the then the panel. After that spray the backside of the fabric and the face of the panel with some sort of spray adhesive, and then allow a couple of seconds for it to “tack” up. When it is “tacky” spread the fabric across the panel removing all wrinkles and wrap the excess around the backside of the panel. Finish with a razor blade by trimming of the excess fabric. That’s how we did hers anyways.

Watch out for pot holes. If you hit one hard, struts will blow cuz dampening and valving don't match anymore big time.

I know biggie... Boo on me... BUT Im saving up for some REAL coilovers! I just got desperate. I hated how it looked like a monster truck! lol.

94_240sx... Its too late... the struts were already blown. Ohhh well.. I feel like im riding in a damn bagged car. lol. On the way to my bf's house there is this road that has nothing but ruts and pot holes... its pointless to try and miss them. They were a pair of extra springs laying around so I guess if I hate it too much I will just throw my old pair back on. and get new struts, lol. I will post pics up tomorrow.

I also ran into a mini rattle can of the Dupli-color "cherry red pearl" Import auto spray for my car.Has anyone ever used this stuff to do "touch up" work? I am hoping to touch up my front bumper up this weekend if it doesnt rain... It really bugs the crap out of me when I walk up to my car and notice the ugly yellow bumper. Idk if you can notice it in my sig that well but its really bad, or it has got worse since then.

careful with that shift knob... i know 2 people that have the exact same one, and they broke it at the tracks. needless to say, its not a track shift knob... just be easy with it, lol. I have the same one btw...
