I was wondering what he was up to these days.
He had a pretty fast lap time in the reasonably priced car.

I've heard good things about Leblanc.

Chris Evans is a knob.

Since LeBlank's biggest movie role was opposite a chimpanzee, he should probably be comfortable working with a tool like Evans. From what I read, LeBlanc is actually a car guy, and held the track record for stars in a reasonably priced cars. Though admittedly beating stars like Helen Mirran is not that impressive. I have a sinking feeling, TP-UK will become yet another version of Fifth Gear, largely forgettable. They have a very tough act to follow.

As I recall, Matt LeBlanc still holds the record for that on Top Gear. And there were other celebrity car nuts too ... as I recall, for a while, Rowan Atkinson (the guy who played Mr. Bean) did well too on one year, but LeBlanc is still the fastest.

Definitely interesting having him on the show ...

What I'm looking forward to is an American take on European car culture.

Sad that this is the only good thing I can say about a legendary British show.

He also crashed his McLaren twice, maybe the producers are a little cautious about insurance premiums. :chuckle:

Dude, it's an F1. Definitely on a short list of cars that want to kill you and one of those wrecks was in the rain. Hell, the wound up rubber band in my BRZ can kick the tail out explosively in the wet and that's, at best, 130-150hp to the wheels with no noticeable torque. Imagine an F1 getting rebellious on a wet British road. :ohno:

I would be wrapped around a pole eight feet in the air 30 minutes after you tossed me the keys to one of those things; I'm not hatin on Rowan.

To be fair, Atkinson owned the car he crashed twice. while Clarkson abused pretty much any car he touched that he didn't own. So I'm not sure I quite buy the insurance argument.

Not hard at all especially around an airport that doubles as their track. But when a presenter powerslides a Porsche 918, an insurance company might be a bit more concerned.

Neither am I. Y'all (can't believe I've been in TN long enough that that's not even forced) should know me better than that.

I figured the chuckle emote would be enough, but from now on I'll work on my Borscht Belt delivery. ;)
