allright. first thing you need is a multi meter. switch the meter to volts, and put the testing leads on the starter terminas (red to terminal on starter, black lead to any unpainted metal surface on the car such as the block). have a friend turn the key and see if the voltage goes from 0 to around 12VDC. be careful, as the current you will be dealing with is very powerfull and can seriously injure you.

I helped trigger via AIM with his problem, I am posting some of the conclusions so others may search in the future:

starter is getting battery voltage when they key is turned, not starting. He will try to push start the car which will determine if the starter only is bad or if the engine also has another problem such as not getting spark or fuel. Starter is new, worked for a day before failing. Car would not start after working on the heater (replacing control panel with a known good unit). This could be a coincidence or an electrical problem could be present, attempted push start will determine the answer to this.

turn the key to "ON" and listen near the back of the car. you should hear a faint buzzing for about 5 seconds, this is your fuel pump working.

ok heres an update...

the car starts temporary coz i put a jumper and push button switch so the starer will crank the engine and when u switch the key on start it will start...

ok so here what i do i make the "CANADIAN wiring style" means u dont need interlock relay and inter lock switch to start the car theres a one wire conected to the soleniod to the push button switch and the other wire connects to the + battery and the push button switch so when u push the button it will spin the starter and when u switch the car to start it will crank and start the engine.

basicaly u dont need to step on the clutch to start it because u disable the the interlock relay and switch under the clutch but its dangerous because when ur on gear and then try to start the car, the car might jump!! or move forward and hit the one whos infront of u so always remember to put the gear on neutral before starting... but anyways its only temporary for me... so the question is how can i put it back in normal starting? because before without the CANADIAN wiring (bypass the interlock relay and switch) i cant start the car, so whats wrong and what should i do because i dont want this push button thing i want it back to normal, thanks for reading i hope someone helps!___________________________________________________________________________

Have you checked the rubber bump stop on the clutch pedal that presses in the clutch switch? Those are known to get brittle and fall out, then your starter will not engage.
