I did the lit sleepy eye mod with a friend, and i'm trying to mount my switch right below the headlight up & down button.

What i did was cut down a piece of plastic to fit that size, painted it gloss black and put my switch in it tightened it down. Now i just need to glue it to the spot where the fake button or cruise control button would be, and it's not working out.

I've tried glue etc. And I just can't get it to stay.

Any ideas? Write ups? What'd you guys do?

thanks

I used this location to mount a power folding mirror switch, and it turned out pretty nice. Any switch can go to this spot, so leave the stock switches alone and mount it here.

very nice man, and as for that foot light you got there, where can I find one? I removed that panel when I was working on my column and would like to have one there.

Cruise On/Off switches are right below headlight up/down switch. I think you should just find cruise control on/off switches to block off the holes and you can put two blank panels instead of a coin holder. You can modify those blank panels for the switch. I thought about that location for the power folding mirror switch, but the switch was too big.

(also, im talking about the upper dash, not the piece pictured above)

then the CC buttons on the steering wheel work

took me like 9 months to figure it out

I guess you can call it a 2nd throttle cable. It's a short one that goes to the cruise unit that is near the back of the intake side of the engine. It's why your throttle body has 2 places for a cable to attach. One for the pedal, one for the cruise system.

i modded the coin holder and made it able to hold 2 switches. one of them is for my sleepy eyes.

heres a pic, if you want me to explain it just let me know and i will.

but if you want the switch in the useless hole for cruise control, i dont think thats a bad idea either, i thought of that myself. id go get a switch from autozone or somewhere that has the clips on the top and bottom that make it lock in. then id cut the exact size hole in the cruise control cover piece and stick the switch right in.

Yeah, it's a different trim. Heated mirrors are even hard to find in Japan. I don't have heated mirrors. It's just the switch. We don't need them here in TX.

Personally, i find those big switches a pain, i just get the small stem switches and drill one hole. I dont like cuttin exact squares to fit them, so i just get the easier to install switches:

what models came with the floor lights? and do the nonfloor light models have any of the wiring for the lights? these must be pretty rare because I have never seen them in person.

I've never seen s13s wihout floor light on the driver's side. I've thought al of them came with the floor light. I don't know if it's doing the right thing or not, but what happens is if I turn the key, driver's side floor light blinks several times.
