I've been burning Sunoco Grade 93 and 94 for city driving, but using Shell 93 for highway driving.

The VQ is a smart engine. You could run 87 octane in your car if you wanted. But if you do, performance will suffer, and I wouldn't be surprised if fuel milage suffered a bit, too. The engine will perform best with whatever "premium" is in your area--93/94 by the sound of things. If you run lower octane fuel, the car will retard timing to prevent pinging. I'd stick with at least 91 in your area if I were in your place.

It's INFINITI!! Not a "Y".Other than that, keep the Sunoco gas going, it's the best.

Technically it's not an Infinity, or Infiniti, IT'S A NISSAN . Wolf in sheep's clothing.
