I am looking into getting the cusco zero2 coilovers. I know there spendy but im not so much worried about the price. I am looking for a coilover that also can control the dampening from a controller inside the car since it will be used on my daily driver. I will mainly be focused on auto-x and drifting.

Drop your thoughts on any coilovers you have experience with. Much appriciated!

You get what you pay for... most of the time.

I'm driving on Kei Office XT's (9kgF/7kgR)... love them and no rougher than my AP2 S2000 lowered on shocks/spring. I would say these if they were still for sale

Driven S14 on FLT-A2s... ok but not worth the $ to me

Driven S13 on Stance GR+... best value coilover in my opinion

Friend has Zero 2's on his STi and loves them...

Hope this helps...

How comfortable were the stance coilovers?

They were good enough... I've only drove it once, but I think you at least get what you pay for when it comes to ride quality/mild spirited driving

cuscos are going to be extremely stiff and uncomfortable on the street. They are good though...

They are all going to be "a bit stiff" if they are worth being coilovers... but I prefer this in a street car (even my AP2 summer daily has a stiff ride).

The only coilovers I've driven that I can 100% recommend aren't made anymore (my Kei Office XT's)... I just DO know I wouldn't buy FLT-A2's for more than 1000-1200 if you can find them for that... and Stance GR+ are very good for the price based off of a 1 day drive

I'd honestly recommend tein flex or super drift. Super drifts are a tad stiffer and a tad better valving, more expensive. You can use the tein edfc or whatever and control the dampening from inside the car. I think they are great for the money.

They are dd friendly and track well... my choices.

get stance gr+ pros... and if you still think the 8/6's are too stiff, swap them with 7/5 swift springs

I am looking to upgrade my suspension from stock form near/at the end of this summer. I am looking for an affordable set up since I am dropping nearly $4k on my sr swap. I want coilovers that won't be too stiff for daily driving...basically some reliable, well-priced coilovers that would be suited for daily driving...what can you guys recommend?

^^^l'll be doing the same thing. If you're being thrifty, I'd consider Megan, Stance, Powered by Max and KTS. From what I gather, here are my impressions of what other ppl say about these coils...

Megan streets: Best of the dirt cheap coils... price: sub $900Stance GR+: A little more pricey but easily worth it, the best value of the 4. price: ~$1200KTS: Offered by SPL parts means excellent quality, but apparently won't get you slammed. Price: ~$1100Powered By Max: Don't know much about them, but I've seen users rave about them. But they seem to be drift biased, which isn't what I want. Price: ~$1100

But I'm pretty sure I'm going Stance GR+. If I have to cheap out, I'll go with the $300 cheaper Megan streets. Those are my recommendations based on research I've been reading. Anyone else, feel free to correct me or chime in!

Going with the Megans would be a stupid choice. I'm not saying anything against Megans since I haven't used them personally, just saying instead of cheaping out, wait a week or two longer to make your purchase, or however long you have to save. It's $300 bucks. Why risk getting a lower end product over something you can save up just a little bit longer for?
