There will be a pre-caravan to the Cerritos caravan and anyone in the 951/909 that wants to roll out together get a hold of Josh(240_ESEX), him and other members are going to meet up at the Tyler Mall around 8:00 to get to Cerritos in time for a bigger caravan.

If anyone is coming from San Diego, or lives around the local area (I'm in Carlsbad) We can meet up somewhere to caravan out of, I will be leaving about 8am as to get a decent parking spot.

Since the planners said I could come play in the sandbox with everybody, I will be in Carlsbad by 8. The windmill off Palomar Airport road a good meeting spot? I know that's where all the vettes and mustangs meet for their caravaning.

I think 95% of the people coming will be already bringing their meat....

Come on guys seriously. Not even half the people are bringing something.... This is ridiculous. EVERYBODY NEEDS TO BRING SOMETHING. NO FREELOADERS.

I wanted to wait and see what would be needed but guess I don't have that luxury.

I'll be bringing 2x12pack of coke, 4 bags of different chips, and one of those big bottle/jugs of pace salsa.

Remember, we don't need someone to bring enough food for 100 people, just everyone bringing more than you would eat yourself, and it'll end up with us not running out of food!

Well it's more that I know some people out there will come to this empty handed, and I want to make it clear to them that they cannot do that. haha..

Thanks very much for letting me know.

How about this? If they don't even bring a 6-12 pack of soda or a big bag of chips, they can't eat any of the food?

Come on at the very least that's 3-4 dollars. That's not even a gallon of gas for us 91 octane users!

We've pretty much got sodas and chips covered. Ernie from Discount Tire in LBC is bringing around 290 sodas and a lot of chips. Someone else is also bringing a trunk full and you're bringing some as well.

I guess here is a list of stuff I could suggest:

Hamburgers, hot dogs, buns, ketchup, mustard, bbq sauce, ribs?, snacks, cookies, cupcakes etc. whatever. Stuff for people to eat.

Sounds good to me, are you bringin the S13 or the Vette? I know that would seem like a no brainer considering the type of meet we are going to but you never know? Not that the SR20 your S13 has won't smoke my moderately tuned KA but if you're rocking the Vette I might have a hard time keeping up....lol

I was thinking of taking the I-5 to the 73 going up or perhaps the 1??

Unfortunately the S13 is not road worthy at the moment. I'm hoping to have it drive-able again this summer though. So your worst fears are realized.

I'll play wingman since I'm not too certain of the area we're going. Consider me your escort.

Like smokey and the bandit?? lol

I'm going to google map it and print it off, the 1 is a nice drive up the coast, other wise it's just the I-5N to the 73 which drops you by John Wayne Airport.

I'm kind of glad it's in Costa Mesa, most of these meets require me to drive like 3 hours to the middle of north Los Angeles. Where we are going is pretty much just west of Irvine.

Forgot to reply to both of these parts of your last message. My S14SR motor has the full bolt-on and FMIC list, and the s13 when I drove it last, was about on par with my 01' automatic C5 with 2.73 gears(vs 3.42's on the 6speeds). Even then I wouldn't be an *** and try and race you or anything. I owned a 95 S14 SE for two years. Sometimes I regret selling it and going the S13 route. If anybody asks, I'll just say I'm the slower car in the caravan.

As to which route we take, I'm easy(don't we all know it ). Long as we don't miss the party. If the weather's nice, I'll rock without the targa on.
