Well guys my 240 is up and running again after 2 whole years. I get her back tonight. My parents traded their '71 Impala for my engine. The only down side to this story is that the original engine that my dad found was completely rebuilt, but the shop didn't recieve that one so they had to go get one from a junk yard that had 80,000 miles on it. They ordered a new clutch, alternator, and got a new battery cuz mine was shot to ****. Moral of the story I'm the happiest person on earth right now and just thought i would share my happiness!!!!

What motor did you put in? The KA or SR?

Congrads. I don't think I could go two years without driving my 240. I'm lucky I have lasted this winter so far.

Mine was in the shop for nearly 3 weeks while I was putting in the manual, and in a couple more weeks I gotta give it up to get it painted. And to top it off, Im driving a Ford Ranger while the 240 is out...

I don't know how you made it, but its awesome that you got it back finally. '71 Impala for a KA sounds like a fair trade to me lol.

Last summer my starter decided to crap out on me, so i didnt get to drive it for at least a month until i finally got it fixed.

My radiator is breaking on me right now too. I got the new one in the garage, dont want to give up my car for even a day to fix it though!
