To be brief, I just added heads/cam to the mullet mobile......

gained about 73rwhp/29rwtq.

New #'s are 436rwhp/401rwtq:ylsuper

I still have dyno tuning left to take care of and I think that 450rwhp is very doable.

This is to tide me over until I get the single turbo kit for my car....T-74

Should sit me at a respectable 700rwhp on pump gas when done:D

educate me please :)

I have always wondered what the manifold for a V engine would look like for making a single turbo layout.

If I remember correctly, wasn't it a Neon you were driving FryRice? Maybe I'm incorrect, considering you're boasting 350rwhp on just bolt ons and minor engine work and no forced induction?

Ahaha no neons over here. I drive a 2001 Camaro Z28. And with just bolt ons on stock internals I was able to eek as much as 363rwhp/372rwtq before I added the heads and cam.

Yes, i know. The 240 in my signature is a 180sx type X from japan (i think). Pictures of my car can be seen here:

Yeah, if you plan on getting one, get a 2001+ car. The 2001-02 models come with more horsepower, a better clutch, better cam, and some Z06 vette parts standard!!

The turbo spools off of all 8 cylinders. The exhaust manifolds on both side merge to one big pipe right before it gets to the turbo.

After a party at 4 AM, my buddy, his nephew and I went out for a little cruise....my friend collects sound clips of cars and wanted to get one of mine.

The sound quality isn't the best, but good enough to get an idea of how the car sounds. I think you need windows media player to view this. It's a big file....11.6 megs!! Make sure you turn down the bass a bit or else you'll get a bunch of feedback. Enjoy!! http://ftp://68.104.178.181/Mu...c/z28

question why go single and not twins doesn't make sense to me.Also with twins would you not be able to spool up faster and with that big v8 I am sure you red line at like 5500 rpms or do you plan on rebuilding the engine to red line higher

Actually, as it stands right now my car redlines at 7000rpm on an upgraded valvetrain, but a stock shortblock.

Twins do spool faster for sure, but the difference is negligent. Our cars won't have the same lag associate with smaller engines.

The T-63 turbo option with the single turbo kit hits full boost at 2300rpm  , while the T-74 hits full boost at 2600rpm I think.

Twins would spool quicker, but also add more weight, and I think don't have as good of a topend either.

I was looking at some 95-96 Z28s. Some go for around 10K. That's not bad for a 0-60 in 5.5 seconds. I could sell my 93 240 (w/ 63K miles) for about 5-6K (hopefully) and get a small loan for the rest.

Or, I could make my 240 a N/A project car (which I'm probably gonna do.) Gonna try and top out the N/A horsepower.

Done: IntakeSpringsStrut BarHKS Hiper (on Wed)

Need:headerclutchnew pistons for higher compressioncamsECUpulleysflywheelsome other stuff that'll do . . . stuff

SO basically, I've got my work cut out for me. Wish me luck!

Nick.

if you are going to dump all that money into your current car, you'd be better off getting a Z28. You'll get a lot more out of it.
