60k miles is good, but people have been known to stretch it ...

Stick with the Nissan OEM as listed in the manual - there are hot and cold versions, but the standard one ought to be fine for most people! You can get them for less at http://www.everythinginfiniti.com.

And, whatever you do, avoid Bosch plugs like the plague. For some reason, they and Nissan/Infiniti engines simply do NOT get along. There are lots of horror stories here and in the Q45 forum about this issue.

They should be, but many people have replaced at 60k with better results for overall engine performance ... I should have been clearer about that, sorry!

I am at 70k at the moment and going strong, so plan to wait a bit ...

Cool, I want to get the Iridium plugs...not to be riceriffic, but they offer lots of benefits for engine performance and economy. EXCEPT the price...anyone have a good place to get them for cheap?

Always,Always have the Infiniti dealer change your sparkplugs for the first time just before the factory warranty expires- that way, if there are oil leaks in plug wells{very common on the these motors} or other parts of valve cover gaskets.....or they damage a coil while removing it to get to the plugs.....the warranty pays for the repair, not you.
