Hi all.

I find the car to be to high for my liking and feel the suspension will much improved with lowering springs.

I see that currently only H&R and Eibach are out. I would love input from people who are running these.

I have pretty much settled on some very lightweight 18" rims so I can run wider tires.

Has anyone done this with those size after doing the 1.4+" drop?

I am concerned about any possible wheel rub? I am not looking to do any shaving of post install fabrication

Also is the handling of the car as improved as I am thinking it will be?

First of all. Do you have a coupe or sedan?

Let us know what car you have. Also, it depends on what tires you will be using, as there is a certain offset that is acceptable. You don't want too much rubbing. I would say that both H&R and Eibach are great. For aesthetics, a drop would be great. For performance, aftermarket springs make the ride more sportier.

I currently don't have the Eibach Pro-Kit installed, but I did run them on my last car. I feel that they are superior to every other spring (H&R, Tein, Intrax, etc) as far as ride quality is concerned. I did run the Sportline on my S13, but they were a bit bouncy and the drop was 1.6" I believe.

I have 18x8" +45 wheels w/225/45/18 tires on my ride right now and I know with a 1"-1.5" drop, it'll clear with no problems. There's way more than enough space on the inside and outsides so you won't rub. Keep in mind though, if going with the Pro-Kit (which I would highly recommend) the drop is only an inch. To me, that's perfect because I don't want to be "slammed" to the ground.

Sorry forgot to mention 3.5 Coupe. You basically just ran the exact setup I am looking for. Although I was thinking 245/45/18. I also ran the Pro-kit on a 200sx SER many moons ago and I loved them with KYB's.

I might be an H&R test tard because I want more then a 1" drop but 1.5" would kill me here in Florida.

My Injen intake arrives tomorrow. Next week I will order the springs and have them installed for a test.

Will report back shortly

I plan on going with the Eibach Pro-Kit. I had the H&R's on a civic ages ago, it was slammed and the ride sucked.

Yeah, by far, Eibach Pro-Kit is the smoothest, closest to "factory-like" ride out there.

Utmost, don't forget to post pics. We'd all love to see how it would look.

I think Eric secretly works for Eibach

Kidding You've had a great experience with them which is awesome. Sounds like it might be the go-to spring out of most for the Altima. H&R have been harsh. I'm driven cars with Progress and Tein which are still fairly tight, if thats what your looking for. Eibach again, wins on the smoother ride.
